GRADE 1/2 FAIRY PARK EXCURSION
On Thursday the 16th of October, the Grade 1 students headed off to
the Fairy Park in Anakie. We were looking for the “castle in the sky”,
but it proved hard to find as the day was very cold, grey and rainy.
Students explored the Fairy Park and enjoyed pressing the buttons to
see which magical action took place before their eyes. They also
enjoyed visiting Camelot’s Playground. The tunnels and huge slide
proved how much fun playgrounds can be.
We arrived back at school, maybe a little wet and tired but it was a fantastic day for all involved.
Thank you to our parent helpers on the day, Rob, Matt, Melinda, and Kylie. Your help was greatly
appreciated.
GRADE 2 CAMP
Last Thursday the Grade 2’s went to school camp at Boomerang
Ranch. There were lots of activities. There was horse riding,
damper making, orienteering, kite making and charcoal drawing. In
the middle of the activities we had free time outside. There were
5 groups. Group 1 was Donkeys, Group 2 was Mules, Group 3
was Ponies, Group 4 was Horses and Group 5 was Brumbies. Mrs
Potter would ring the bell when free time was over and we
started another activity. For dinner Mrs Potter tricked us into
thinking the we were having mashed brussels sprouts, but we had
chicken schnitzel and mashed potato and vegies. We did a show
after and you could do whatever you wanted to. I did Roar with
Madison and Abbey. When we went to bed the girls had a party.
We woke up early on Friday. We got dressed to have free time.
After we did the rest of the activities we walked to Tipperary
Springs to have lunch. When we all got back we got our bags and
got on the bus. On the way back we went to a park.

Boomerang Ranch Bell.
The teachers would like to congratulate the Grade 2 students for their wonderful behaviour on
camp. We would also like to commend the fathers that attended and extend our appreciation, Pete
Dickins, Pere Ruka and Chris Jackson. Without the assistance of parents we would not be able to run
these camps successfully.

or bake something special if you like. Bring your ‘special thank you’ to school on Friday October 31st.
