2015 IDEA Show Approval Application
(Use for 2015 Show Season only)
The IDEA Board of Directors will meet in November, 2014 to approve shows for the 2015 competitive
season. If you are applying for the same dates that you have had in previous years, these dates will
be held for you until October 31st of the current year.
PRICES FOR SHOWS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
IDEA Approval: Waived, but must agree to the instructions below
Inclusion in IDEA “Calendar” on website- no omnibus prize list page: $20.
Omnibus Prize list: Per page, includes website calendar presence. $30.
In applying for IDEA approval, the undersigned hereby agrees to the following:
1. Prize list must be sent to all IDEA members. If your show chooses to be included in the
current IDEA on-line Omnibus, it will automatically be received by all IDEA members, fulfilling
the requirement. Approved competitions missing Omnibus publication will be responsible for
submitting their prize list in “Bits n Paces” and subject to all printing and reproduction costs
incurred.

Deadline for submission of the 2014 IDEA show application is November 8, 2014 at the
Annual Meeting& Banquet. Deadline for submission of the prize lists to be printed in the
Omnibus is December 31, 2014. Prize list submissions after that date risk not being included
in the omnibus. All IDEA-approved shows prize list information will be listed on the IDEA
website, www.idahodressageandeventing.org.
3. Judge selected may not judge the same IDEA competition two years in a row, nor judge more
than two IDEA competitions in a calendar year.

Results must be sent by certified mail within ten days of competition to the IDEA
Competition Chairman (Alternatively, results may be sent electronically. It is, however,
the show management’s responsibility to confirm receipt). Missing results will not be
configured into year end award computations and may severely impact the concerned
competitors. Please be considerate of the competitors and get your results in on time! Results
must include the following for ALL HORSES AND RIDERS entered in your show:
• Complete placings in all classes by all horses, including test, level, or division ridden,
i.e. if separated by Junior, Senior, Open, Adult Amateur, etc.
• Dressage percentages and eventing penalty points to three decimal places.
• All eliminations clearly marked.
• All scratches clearly marked, i.e. those who withdraw before competing.
• All no shows clearly marked, i.e. those who don’t scratch, but don’t show up.
• All retirees clearly marked, i.e. those who start to compete, but retire voluntarily.
• Name of 1) Horse 2) Rider 3) Owner, if different from the Rider.
5.
Dressage show managers are encouraged to utilize the IDEA sanctioned “Fox Village”
software to submit results (contact Competitions Chairman for more information on this
program). Alternatively, you may use copies of your US Equestrian or USEA result forms or
an excel spreadsheet.

You will be notified of your competition's approval by November 30 th.

Effective for the 2015 competitive season, send the following:

2. Omnibus Page information. If you choose to not list your prize list in the IDEA on-line Omnibus,
please contact Coleen Florke at: cflorke714@gmail.com to price printing costs of placing the prize
list in the IDEA’s bi-Monthly newsletter.
