Prelude
Christians We Have Met to Worship
Psalm 46:10
M. Hayes
Welcome
Tom Lacey
Today is a new day, rising fresh from the Creator’s
hand. Today we begin again, with praise and thanks to
God who made us, Christ who redeemed us and the
Spirit who guides us. Here we participate in the
fellowship of the forgiven, the church. It is good to be
together today.
Prayer Requests
Call to Worship
John Bird
With friend and strangers, with family and neighbors, we gather:
Come among us, healing God, with that love which
never ends.
With faith reaching out to you, with hearts straining to trust:
Come among us, Friend of the broken, with your
compassion which makes us whole.
With word and wonder, with silence and song, we wait:
Come among us, Dryer of our tears, to lift us to our
feet to follow you.
* Praise Songs (bulletin p. 6-7)
Open the Eyes of My Heart
Lord I Need You
Prayer of Confession
Let us pray
Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know
the old heartaches that still pain me. You know when I
sit down and when I rise up. You know the restless
worries that rob me of rest, the fears that drive me.
You discern my thoughts from afar. You know what I
attempt to conceal from everyone else. You know why
I do what I do, when I don't even know myself. You
are acquainted with all my ways. You see the good
things I do in secret, as well as the wrong things.
Forgive me and help me, gracious God. Help me lay
aside my faithless fears. Forgive my inability to trust
3
you in all things. I am the work of your hands; fulfill
your purpose for me. Do not forsake me when I turn to
you, for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

P. Baloche
CHORUS (2x)
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord,
Open the eyes of my heart,
I want to see You, I want to see You;
To see you high and lifted up,
Shining in the light of Your glory;
Pour out Your pow’r and love
As we sing, “holy, holy, holy.”
CHORUS (2x)
To see you high and lifted up,
Shining in the light of Your glory;
Pour out Your pow’r and love
As we sing, “holy, holy, holy.”
Holy, holy, holy,
Holy, holy, holy;
Holy, holy, holy,
I want to see You
Holy, holy, holy,
Holy, holy, holy;
Holy, holy, holy,
I want to see You

Lord, I Need You
M. Maher
Lord I come, I confess,
Bowing here I find my rest.
And without You I fall apart,
You’re the one that guides my heart.
CHORUS
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You.
Ev’ry hour I need You.
My one defense, my righteousness.
Oh, God how I need You.
Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more.
Where grace is found is where You are.
And where You are Lord, I am free,
Holiness is Christ in me.
Yes where You are Lord, I am free,
Holiness is Christ in me.
CHORUS
Teach my song to rise to You,
When temptation comes my way.
And when I cannot stand, I’ll fall on You,
Jesus, You’re my hope and stay.
And when I cannot stand, I’ll fall on You,
Jesus You’re my hope and stay.
CHORUS (2x)

ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS
We Remember Him
This piece was commissioned by Tamara K. Pope in loving memory of
her husband Rick Pope, and written by our own Juan Mansilla. It was
performed by the Chancel choir of Congregational Church of Boca
Raton for the first time on Sunday, May 19th. The text is from the
Jewish book of prayers with some extra additions from 1 Corinthians
13. The text in form of litany was converted to an uplifting mantra
expressing characteristics Tamara felt were Rick’s. The biblical text
speaks of the love they had. Instead of being a song of longing it
became a song of love and hope.

Wreaths Across America Saturday, December 13th
Wreaths Across America is an organization that has
been placing Christmas wreaths on the graves of
our veterans. The wreaths are donated and we are
forming a team to help place those wreaths at
gravesites in the South Florida National Cemetery.
We will gather at the church at 9:00 a.m. on
Saturday, December 13th. Please sign up in the
Rosser room so we will know how many to expect.
For further information contact Audrey Michele.
The Giving Tree Sunday, November 30th
The Giving Tree begins November 30th. Please
help make Christmas a little brighter for several
local needy families. Look for the Giving Tree in
the Rosser room. Select an ornament and fulfill the
Christmas wish on the back of the ornament. Return
your wrapped gift with the attached name tag no later than December
14th. Santa’s Helpers will ensure that your gift arrives on time for
Christmas Eve delivery. Without your help, these children will have no
gifts under the Christmas tree.
“Jack the Bike Man”
There is still time to help “Jack the Bike Man” make it a
wonderful Christmas for needy children in Palm Beach
County. If you are getting rid of your child’s bike, please
bring it in to church and we will bring the bikes that we
collect up to “Jack the Bike Man” so he can repair and gift them to
needy children. Remember that he also collects adult bikes that he sells
to get money to keep his warehouse. Don’t forget to check the curbs in
your neighborhood to see if someone is putting a bike in decent shape
out to be thrown away. It could be the bike that will bring the biggest
smile to a little girl or boy. For more information, contact Marit Lacey
at maritandtom@msn.com.
