This annual celebration promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family environment. As the signature fundraising event, the Greater Washington Heart Walk is expected to raise $2,000,000 for the American Heart Association’s life-saving mission. Who: 8,000 walkers from over 140 companies and organizations with their friends and families. When: November 8, 2014 8:30am – 11:30am Where: The National Mall – Washington, DC How: Register for free at: www.greaterwashingtonheartwalk.org Day of Event Details: 8:30 am Tents Open & Festivities Begin 10:00 am The Walk Steps Off 11:00 am Festivities and Celebration! The Walk is a 3 Mile route (with a 1 mile optional route), Family & Dog friendly, and Community Event (noncompetitive Walking). Everyone is welcome! Walkers who can’t be there on the day of the event can still be Virtual Walkers!
