NOV/DEC
2014
The year has flown by! Or is it just me. With All Saints, Veterans Day
and Thanksgiving leading us into Advent this year rushes on. These
are touch points to life, be sure to soak them in and allow God to use
them in your life. We are told in the Bible, wisdom straight from Solomon, that there is a time for everything, and for everything a season.
There is a time for fasting, as well as for feasting, a time for dancing and a time
for mourning. So how do we know which time is which? We look to those whom
we love, those with whom we are united. We are to rejoice with those who rejoice, and to mourn with those who mourn.
I want to encourage you to slow your end of the year down. Take time to reflect
on what is truly important (God's love, direction & grace, your family & friends
etc...) and being thankful for the many blessing we all receive from the Lord.
We have much to be thankful for. Count those many blessing – name them and
share as God enables. Let His love be seen in us as we love God, one another
and our community.
Braking for Blessings, Pastor Erv
P.S. In an effort to have worship be our central focus on Sunday mornings be
sure to watch the monitor in the connect center for many ministry highlights and
opportunities, to plug into.
A big thank you to those who have made this possible.
Ohio Valley Teen Challenge is coming - let us be great hosts.
VISION STATEMENT - COME ALONGSIDE

The Swiss Steak Dinners have begun and we are off to a fabulous start. We sold at
least 77 dinners in October, of which 26 were to go orders. That kept us hopping. Our returning guests were so glad to see us and actually started watching for
our sign in September. We had some new faces too. The word is out that we make a
heck of a "Swiss Steak" dinner for an awesome price. Pass the word to family and
friends. For $8 you get Swiss Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Applesauce, Roll
w/butter, Dessert and Beverages. The service is wonderful too. Thank you to all
who help make this outreach possible. Without our bakers, servers, cleaners, shoppers, etc. we couldn't do it. Also a special "Thank you" to Richard Frecka and Pastor
Erv for getting our big blue sign out there. When asked, dinner guests say this is how
they found out about the dinner. We have such a great location right off Wales road.
Since our last update, we have helped fund three mission trips and donated towards
the purchase of some home appliances for a family in need. Currently, after this last
meal, we have $2,200 in the Outreach Missions Account. We look forward to reaching out over the Holidays and beyond. Please tell us if you
know of someone in need that perhaps we can help.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!
