Second Thursday of each month from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Join D.J., Burl Hood, the ballroom
dancers and the line dancers for an evening of fun and entertainment! Please bring a

POTLUCK The November Luncheon is the 17th at noon. The luncheon will be catered by locally
owned Holly Farms. Sign-up at the office and pay $14.00 for a delicious Thanksgiving
meal with all the trimmings! Everything is provided at this event.

SPEAKERS - Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 2:00 join Sandy Dillon from World of Travel as she presents
three upcoming trips for 2015. At 2:00 learn about the Exotic Caribbean, at 2:45
Savannah & Charleston, and at 3:30 Northern California. If you are interested in any of
these destinations, come in for the presentations.

Ridge. Bruce will teach a class on “Leaving a Lasting Legacy”. This class gets you
started on putting all of your memories on paper. What a wonderful gift to all your family

COMPUTER Computer Gnome, Inc. offers computer classes designed specifically for seniors for only
$45 for 4 hours of class and includes a book! Call 866-5890 to register. All classes are
Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Classes include Email Basics using Gmail on Nov. 5 and 12
and CD burning, USB (Flash) Drives, and the Cloud on Nov. 19.
CURRENT EVENTS 1st & 3rd & 5th Wednesdays 9:30-11 a.m. Talk about current events on TV,
magazines, etc. We are looking for a new facilitator for this class!
GLASSES SCOR collects old eye glasses to donate to The Lions Club Sight Program.
HEALING HEARTS 3rd Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. Join Helen Parker for a little help with grief support.
You do not have to grieve by yourself. Helen can lead you toward a healthy outlook.
HEARING SCREEN second Fridays every other month Robert Miller with Echo Hearing will test your
hearing and/or hearing aids. Call the office to schedule your appointment.
HOMELESS QUILTS Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. meet to make lap blankets to donate. We don’t need
any material or blankets at this time.

Spanish.
SUGGESTIONS We do have a suggestion box in the reception area, if you have any ideas or
requests for SCOR.
W.O.W. SOCIAL CLUB 2nd Saturday of the month at 1:00 p.m. Widows or Widowers Social Club with

EXERCISE AND WELLNESS
ARTHRITIS EXERCISE Mondays 1:00 p.m. with Linda McKinney and Thursdays at 11:15 a.m. with
Eileen Lawson -- Range of Motion exercises performed in a chair. This class is a great
way to start back into exercising.
BALL EXERCISE Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. with Judy, come for this core and balance workout. Bring
your own ball and mat.
BALLROOM Mondays at 6:00 p.m. Ballroom Class $5.00 with Stan Campbell-Place teaching most
American & Latin Dances.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK by Walgreens of Reynoldsburg, Echo Manor and/or Wesley Ridge will
be out to help monitor your blood pressure. Check the calendar for dates.
EXERCISE Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 10:30 a.m. For this full body workout you will need a
mat and hand towel.
LINE DANCING Mondays at 4:00 p.m. ($1 donation) and Saturdays --Beginners at 9:00 a.m. and
Intermediate at 10:00 a.m. Get in line with Barbara Carlson, Instructor.
PICKLEBALL Saturdays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. get in on the fun! SCOR will have all the equipment to
play the team sport. You do not need a partner, just come to play round robin!
SILVER SNEAKERS FLEX Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. with Becky Sonner. Free to any Silver Sneaker
Member (SSM) and $10/month for non-SSM. We work on strength, range of motion
and balance! SSM should bring your cards.
WALKING PROGRAM Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. The cost for the program is free to Silver Sneakers
Members and $1 for non-SSM. Come out and enjoy the fresh air.
T’AI CHI
Fridays at 9:00 a.m. $20 Tai Chi registration fee for all participants. New classes begin
in January & June. (8 week one hour class for $30 - learn basic 17 moves).
Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. Beginners 6:30 p.m. Advanced (1½ hour class – All
108 moves will be taught over the course of 3.5 months) $50 for the quarter.
TONE & STRETCH Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00 a.m. with Judy – Physical Therapy bands help to
build strong muscles and increase bone density. A little aerobics and stretching, too!
YOGA
Wednesdays & Fridays at 11:45 a.m. with Lynn Spichiger instructor--exercise program
designed for those over 55 (4 sessions $20.00) (walk-in fee $7.50).
ZUMBA GOLD Thursdays at 3:00 pm join Carolyn Strayer for this fun dance/exercise class. No
experience necessary and levels are designed for seniors. Classes are $5 or you can
purchase a card of 10 classes for $40.
GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT
BID EUCHRE Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m., looking for some new players! Come join the fun and we’ll
teach you to play!
BINGO
Every other Friday at 6:00 p.m. $.50 a card. You must be a paid up member to
participate! Check your calendar for dates.

We have a bocce court outside SCOR. Come brush up your bocce skills or learn to
play a new outdoor game. The bocce balls and rake are in the office!
BOWLING Fridays at 9:00 a.m. at Holiday Lanes. Contact Gil Byers at 861-5352.

Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. Party Bridge and Fridays at 12:15 p.m. Duplicate Bridge.
BUNCO
Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. come out and play this new game with dice. Everyone can play!
It is loads of fun and no difficult rules to follow.
CANASTA Fridays at 1:00 p.m. Hand and Foot style!
CHORUS
Tuesdays from 1-3:00 p.m. The Golden Clefs, Choir Director Linda Hallberg welcomes
all to bring music and harmony into the lives of others.

POOL
The pool room with 3 tables, is open to all when SCOR is open. Join the Men’s Group
on Thursday mornings!
PUZZLES We have a jigsaw puzzle library from 300 to 1,500 pieces.
TABLE TENNIS We have a table tennis set up in the pool room. Come in anytime during regular
hours to play!
TEXAS HOLD’EM Wednesdays at noon and approximately 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. ($10 buy-in each
game). Fridays at noon and at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. ($5 buy-in each game).
TRIPOLEY Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. come join this group for lots of fun!
Wii BOWLING Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and other times if the room is open!
TRIPS – ON THE ROAD AGAIN!
Sign-up is Monday, November 3rd at 9:00 a.m. Bring your membership card to drop in
container. You may sign up for yourself and one other companion member. All trips that
require payment must be paid at time of sign-up. We do maintain waiting lists to try and
accommodate everyone. Some trips are “already signed up for” (ASUF) or payment is “on
your own” (OYO). New trips are indicated with an (*).

Lion King returns to the Ohio Theater this fall and SCOR has great matinee tickets.
We will leave at 10:30 and have lunch OYO then go for the Broadway Show! $67
Wexner Center for the Arts has Transfigurations on exhibit. This show highlights
some of the Leslie & Abigail Wexner’s art collection. We’ll leave for lunch at 11:00 and
then visit the museum on a self- guided tour. Price is $7 with lunch OYO.
Mystery Breakfast takes you to an undisclosed location for a morning treat! We leave
at 8:30 a.m. OYO

LaComedia presents Miracle on 34th Street. Enjoy this holiday favorite after feasting
on the LaComedia buffet. We leave at 8:30 with a price of $42.
DEC 12*
Vaud-Villities presents Over the River and Through the Woods. We will depart
SCOR at 12:00 noon to experience a “holiday tea-time” performance. Have tea with the
director and then stay for the show. Cost is $16.
JAN 15-FEB 2, 2015 South America Cruise with Cape Horn & Strait of Magellan featuring Chile,
Uruguay and Argentina. Optional Pre-cruise tour of Machu Picchu! This trip of a life
time begins in Santiago, Chile. We will board the Golden Princess and head to Puerto Montt,
Chacabuco, Amalia Glacier and then to Punta Arenas, Chile. Argentina is next with a
stop in Ushuaia and then around Cape Horn. We will stop in the Falkland Islands and
then back into Argentina with our final destination, Buenos Aires. Price starts at $5698.
MAR 7-15, 2015* The Warmth of the EXOTIC Caribbean features a night and day in San Juan

Board Secretary: After many years of being our board secretary JoAnn Ward has
decided that it was time that she gave up her position. The Board thanks JoAnn for
the great job she has done.
If you are interested in the secretary position, please let a board member know
before the December board meeting. We would like to fill this position at the
December board meeting and the new secretary will be installed at the January
board meeting.
Parking Lot Dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony: Our new “green “ parking lot
was completed earlier than expected and was dedicated with a ribbon cutting
ceremony on Oct 6. Speaking at the event was Judy Doran, Joe Brown, and Mayor
Brad McCloud. The Reynoldsburg Community Band played at the ceremony and
then held a concert inside the center. Schwan provided ice cream for the ice cream
social that was held before the concert. Thank you, Schwan for the tasty ice
cream. BIG thanks to the Reynoldsburg Community Band for another great
concert. The director said “see you in December for the holiday concert”.
Pickleball:
Pickleb
all: On Saturday’s we have a new event scheduled from 1pm until 3pm. It’s
called pickleball. Pickleball is similar to badminton and tennis. It is a very low
impact game that all members could play. Come on out on Saturdays and enjoy a
game of pickleball. If you do not know how to play there is someone at the game
that will tell you how to play.
Men’s Golf : We want to thank all the people and sponsors who were involved in
making this year’s league a great success. Prizes came from Whitehall MCL,
Harbor Hills Golf Course, Four Seasons Golf Center, Young’s Reynoldsburg
Sunoco, Vick’s Pizza and NAPA. The 2014 Round Up winner went to the team of
Jack Carson, Mike Pierson, C.D. Via and Charlie Hohman. Congratulations to all
the participants and winners of this year’s league. See you next year!
Home Depot Donation: Our local Home Depot on Brice Road has made a donation of
building materials. Phil Wenger and helper volunteered their time to build shelves
inside the shed to help keep it organized. Thanks so much for your donation and
time.
New Benches: Check out the new benches at the north entrances. They were
purchased with an anonymous donation from one of our members. We are very
grateful for the generous donation!
