QUADMED FIRST TO ACHIEVE AAAHC NETWORK ACCREDITATION
QuadMed Becomes First to Earn Recognition for
Multiple Clinic Locations under One Accreditation Network
SUSSEX, Wis. – November 10, 2014 – QuadMed, a nationally recognized provider of on-site, near site
and shared site employer-sponsored health and wellness solutions, today became the first to achieve
Network Accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The
AAAHC’s ground-breaking Network Accreditation program focuses exclusively on group accreditations
for organizations that own, operate and direct care for 10 or more health sites.
“Network Accreditation reflects an organization’s passionate commitment to quality care in all facets of
its operations,” said John Burke, PhD, president and CEO of AAAHC. “It reflects the patient safety, quality
care and value expertise we have accumulated over 35 years and applies it to the structure and
management of an operation at the highest level – monitoring health care quality and delivery from the

recipient of AAAHC Network Accreditation.”

The AAAHC Network Accreditation Program focuses on the ability and effectiveness of a corporate
organization's system of centralized governance and administration to maintain its sites of care in an
accreditable manner. Accreditation is granted to the corporate organization and each individual site of
care included in the network receives a certificate identifying it as being operated by an accredited
entity.
The three-year term of AAAHC Network Accreditation awarded to QuadMed covers 20 of QuadMed’s
locations nationwide. In addition, nine of QuadMed’s network earned Medical Home accreditation, a
designation that assures QuadMed patients that their clinic is truly a home base for all of their health
care needs.

QuadMed will actively incorporate additional clinics into the current accreditation term, including new
clinics opening as part of its ongoing nationwide expansion and the mid-sized clinics that joined
QuadMed as part of its October 2013 acquisition of Novia CareClincs.
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking AAAHC accreditation undergo an extensive selfassessment and onsite surveys by AAAHC expert surveyors, including physicians, nurses and
administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. AAAHC accreditation indicates an
organization participates in ongoing self-evaluation, peer review and education to continuously improve
