Holiday Fitness – Ho, Ho… Shake Your Tail Feathers Oh My Goodness! November 12-18 by Jerry Rose, Certified Personal Trainer From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, some individuals may put on as much seven pounds, while the average person gains only 1-2. However, even that weight can add up to 20 pounds over a decade (Science Daily, 2006). Cold temperatures, shorter days, travel and parties can make maintaining a fitness program difficult. But staying active during the holidays is easier than you might think. You’ll leave the workout refreshed, energized and proud of yourself. Our Holiday FitExpress Class is designed to assist members during the holidays by providing both consistency and accountability. It’s a three-month fitness program (December 1–February 20) designed by a Certified Personal Trainer. You get 36 small group training sessions, a fitness and nutrition journal, and remarkable results for less than $14 per class. You’ll build total-body strength, enhance cardiovascular endurance, sculpt muscles, blast fat and improve overall health. After all, who wants a round belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly? Contact your Personal Training Manager for more information or to reserve your spot (sorry, no drop-ins). 1. Consistency. During the holidays, make a conscious decision to exercise 3 times a week for an hour.
