Smoky Lake County is recruiting for the following position:
Legislative Services Clerk
LEGISLATIVE SERVICES
Located just over an hour north-east of Edmonton in Alberta’s Lakeland, our progressive County of over

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Serve as recording secretary at meetings;
 Oversee the County’s RiskPro Jubilee Insurance Program;
 Prepare correspondence as required from meetings;
 Assist with agenda package preparation and distribution for meetings;
 Records management;
 Prepare and update actions list as required;
 Maintain an up-to-date listing of Council appointments;
 Coordinates all delegations to County Council meetings;
 Assist with Municipal Elections as required;
 Proofread for accuracy Request For Decisions for Council agenda packages.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in municipal government setting;
 Business Diploma or Degree in Administration is an asset;
 Knowledge of relevant provincial and municipal legislation;
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint);
 Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to complete projects or tasks;
 Must be willing to work extended hours as needed to attend meetings;
 Demonstrate good interpersonal and leadership skills to work within a team environment;
 Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

$35,262.00 to $59,544.00 per annum
