Economic Development Officer

The Township of Pickle Lake is the most Northern Municipality in Ontario and is currently accepting
applications for the position of Economic Development Officer.
Reporting to the Clerk Treasurer, the Economic Development Officer is responsible for the execution
of all tasks and performance duties thereof relative to the coordination of the town’s delivery and oversight of economic development activities, increasing job opportunities and identifying opportunities for
sustainable growth and development by promoting and marketing Pickle Lake as a great place to live,
visit and to do business.
The successful candidate should have:





Post secondary education or University degree in Commerce, Economics, Marketing or Community
Economic Development
Previous experience in a municipal government environment or in public sector
Holds or willing to acquire a Certificate in Economic Development and or Economic Development (Ec.D)
Designation
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office;
Valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license in good standing or willing to acquire
Compensation for the position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
