R 9.94 crores in favour of
1987 flood affected police
personnel.
"The soft loan has been
sanctioned out of Central
Police Welfare Fund,
which is completely a contributory fund of the
Organization," an official
spokesman here said. He

bid was made to attack Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) rally in south
Kashmir by unidentified persons who
hurled a hand grenade when party
candidate was addressing the gather-
ing in south Kashmir district of
Kulgam this afternoon.
However, the grenade did not
explode and a person, who allegedly
hurled the grenade was arrested on the
spot, official sources said.
