It helps us appreciate the love in our lives we o5en take for granted. May the true meaning of Christmas fill your heart and home with many blessings and that Jesus Christ’s glorious message of peace and love fill you with joy. Three Beau'ful Prayers We celebrate the amazing school year that we have had and the gi5s and commitment of every single person, staff, parents and students, that have made it possible. This year we have experienced an unprecedented growth in learning and we are all incredibly excited about the coming year when we will build upon everything we have learnt to make next year even be!er. No canteen on last Friday. LOST Please keep your eyes out for Samuel Casey’s special, very expensive glasses. They have orange lenses but are not sunglasses . If you see them please bring to the office. LIBRARY NEWS: Thank you to everyone who has returned their library books, keep them coming in, we are now down to 250 overdue books. Please help me get down to zero by Thursday. Look for library & class readers in your bookcases or your children’s rooms. Also, if you haven’t already, could you please send in your child/ren’s library bags and home reader bags, so they can be kept in the library unl next year. That way you won’t have that franc search at the beginning of next year. BOOK CLUB & BOOK FAIR: Thank you for your support throughout the year for the Book Club and Book Fairs. Our last Book Fair was another successful one. We had 5 books donated by families, received 10 new ones from Book Fair as a donaon and made $400 to purchase books for next year. This year between Book Club & and the Book Fairs we have been able to purchase $1500 Worth of books for the library. It is wonderful to see the children excited to borrow for home and their ‘I Pick’ boxes in the classrooms. We have a great variety of books and series of books available to them now. Keep up the good work and thank you. Chrisne Halpin Library / Book Club / Book Fair Co-ordinator SCHOOL BANKING: Next year we will be starng school banking with the commonwealth bank. There are great incenves for students and benefits for the school. The eldest child in each family will be bringing home informaon, if you are interested please, over the holidays, fill in the forms and return to the local Commonwealth Bank ready to start next year. Thankyou Jamie Porter for co-ordinang our school banking. End of Year Picnic Uniforms If you have any uniforms that you no longer need please let us know so that we can pass them on, or if you would like to sell them, email jwaugh@lism.catholic.edu. au and we will adverse in the newsle!er. Raffle ckets $1.00 each St Mary’s Choir, Violin Group & Drummers performing. Ice blocks will be available for sale at the Picnic. BYO everything, and a request to please bring a dessert to share . See you there! GIVING TREE : Thank you so much to our beautiful school community for your generosity and willingness to reach out to others. The response to our giving tree and hampers was overwhelming and together we have made a difference to 17 families in our local community this Christmas. Congratulations and a huge thank you from Carmel Dagger and the St Mary's Mini Vinnies team. YEAR 6 FAREWELL: Thank you to all Yr 5 Parents and Students. Your incredible response to help host the Year 6 Farewell made it a great party. Add the new stairs to the stage, Spotify on the laptop pumping through the PA, great DJs and dance leaders and you have a fun and funky farewell for our Year 6 students. Beginning of the night End of the night Thank you to Bellingen Red Cross for their ongoing support of St.Mary’s School. The Red Cross recently donated $25 towards books for our school Library.
