Sunday of Advent
Welcome ~ We welcome all newcomers to our parish family and request that you see an
usher after mass for a registration packet or call the Parish Office.
Sacramental Information
Baptism - You must call the parish office to register for a Baptism Class. This must be done one
month prior to the scheduled class. Call the Parish Office for more information.
Marriage - You must contact the Parish Office at least six months prior to wedding.
Anointing of the Sick
If you find yourself or a loved one as a patient in a hospital and are in need of the Sacrament of the
Anointing of the Sick, please call the office during business hours as soon as possible. Please do not
wait until your loved one is in critical condition. There can be unavoidable delays in a priest getting
to the hospital immediately. Also, if you plan on entering the hospital for a particular procedure,
you may receive the Sacrament of the Anointing, prior to admission, by making contact with the
parish office.
Change of Status
If you have a change in your family information (i.e. new address, new phone # or leaving the
parish) please notify the Parish Office.

is through your will. Please call the Parish Office for
details on how to make arrangements.
Pope Francis is attending the World Meetings of
Families in Philadelphia, a family friendly event that is held
every three years and sponsored by the Holy See’s Pontifical
Council for the Family. The theme of the World Meeting of
Families is “Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive,”
emphasizing the impact of the love and life of families on our
society. The Diocese of Charleston-Office of Family Life is
organizing a trip that will include transportation and lodging from
September 21-28, 2015. Registrations must be done by the
individual or family online at http://www.worldmeeting2015.org/.
Please contact the Office of Family Life if you have any questions
or would like to be a part of the diocesan trip by emailing
FamilyLife@catholic-doc.org or calling the office at 803.547.5063.
If families or parishes would like to arrange their own trip, they
should visit http://www.worldmeeting2015.org/
God gave us the greatest gift of love
when He sent His son to redeem
us. He asks us to love one another as He loves
us. Take the time to grow deeper in love with God, your spouse
and your family at a Worldwide Marriage Encounter
Weekend. The next Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekends
is Feb. 27-March 1, 2015 in Myrtle Beach. Please apply early. For
more information, go to scmarriagematters.org or call 803-8109602.
HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY-several weeks ago we ran a
MUST READ in the bulletin. It explained to you that we (Fr
Whitman, Pastoral Council, and Parish Staff) were looking and
planning some things to bring new life to our parish. One of the
things that has been done is the survey you participated in early in
October. Now we would like to offer another opportunity to be
sure everyone has the parish information they need. Beginning
the first weekend in February 2015 we will have a table set up in
the Narthex providing various forms of parish information. We are
calling this our Hospitality Table. This is where you come in! We
need volunteers to host this table for each of our Masses. Our
Spanish community already has this up and running at the 3:30pm
Mass on Sundays. We now have a fair number of volunteers to
host our table-but we would like to have enough people to serve
so that no one has to do more than one Mass a month. If this is
something you are willing to do (no experience required) please
email or call or drop the form below in the collection basket by
January 4, 2015. We will provide a one hour training session in
January so that you will be prepared and well versed for what to
expect. Thank You. Please send your response to Sister Christina
with your name and phone number and email address.
sisterchristina@sc.rr.com or -772-7400 ext. 2.
