found in our hymnal (#60 : Cr eator of the stars of night and #56: O Come, o
come, Emmanuel).
The Kyr ie heard today is the Kyrie Orbis factor by Christopher T ye (c.150 51572). Tye was one of the most important English composers of the 16 t h century.
For this elabor ate Kyrie setting, he alternates the original Orbis factor plainsong
with embellished and r hythmic polyphonic sections.
At the offertory, St. Dunstan ’s Choir will sing a setting of Ave Mar ia. PierreLouis Dietsch (1808-1865) tr ansformed a madrigal by Jacques Ar cadelt (c.1507 1568) into a beautiful r endition of this Marian text.

program of Christmas music.

Thank you to everyone who helped to assemble bag lunches last Sunday at Coffee
Hour! We were able to distribute the 200 bag lunches to people in need in the City
of Newark this week. Please listen for announcements about further upcoming
opportunities to volunteer assembling or distributing bags. We will also accept
cash/check donations (noted in the memo) or donations of the following items for
this program: 2-ounce individual packaged lunch meat portions, small
(approximately 8 ounce) containers of juice, individually wrapped cheese slices,
bananas/apples/oranges, and Lipton (or other brand) instant soup mix. Donations
of any non-perishable items are always welcome. Thank you to Raul Ausa and
Elaine Davis for their leadership in developing this program.

Schori will visit Grace Church in Newark. This is a special honor for our parish, as
she has only visited our diocese a few times in her nine-year term.
