International Programme
CIVIL ENGINEERING (CE)
The main goal is in-depth scientific and technical knowledge in
the field of civil engineering, within a multi-cultural educational
environment. The programme, targeting students with firm
technical bases, as well as decision-making and leadership
potential, prepares graduate students to practise their profession
at an advanced level, with a unique exposure to an international
environment to better understand the global issues of civil
engineering.
REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ADMISSION TESTS
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
A Faculty Board will evaluate applicants’ curricula.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Structural mechanics and engineering, hydraulics and hydrology,
soil mechanics, roads and transportation, geomatics will be the
main areas of expertise. Double degrees with Columbia University,
University of Miami and other student exchange programmes
with foreign Universities have been established. The students
will acquire skills in civil engineering project management,
design and analysis of structures and infrastructures with
comprehensive know-how about civil engineering materials,
technologies and processes.
PROGRAMME CONTENT
Civil Engineering is a four-semester programme with core
and curriculum courses to consolidate fundamentals and
improve modelling capabilities in the civil engineering areas.
Students may then specialize in the following fields: Structural
Engineering, Territorial Infrastructures.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Besides traditional activities, the skills of civil engineers are
more and more requested in the fields of territory planning,
environment preservation, safety and protection against
natural and industrial risks. Civil engineers work in national
and international construction companies, in private or public
agencies, or run their own companies.
