NEW YEAR’S SCHEDULE
New Year’s Eve: December 31, 2014 - No Services/Activities!
New Year’s Day: January 1, 2015 - Office closed!
END OF THE YEAR GIVING
Thank you for your faithfulness to God with your tithes
and offerings. In order to receive tax credit for your 2014
giving, your contributions must be postmarked by December
31. You may mail, give online at www.nixafirst.org, or drop by
the office Monday - Wednesday of this week, 9am-1pm!
REFUGE STUDENT LIFE MINISTRIES

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE 1/2 - January 2, all youth are invited to
the Gym from 7-10pm. FBI & Fugitives, Dodgeball, and The
Refuge Games, Pizza and more! Cost: $5.
*WEEK OF PRAYER 1/4-10 - Meet for prayer in The Rock for
one hour, every night except Monday, where we will meet in
the Sanctuary. There will be a different prayer emphasis each
evening. May we live out 2 Chronicles 7:14 which states: If My
people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves
and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal
their land.
2015 GLOBAL WEEK OF PRAYER
Our Assemblies of God leadership has called for
unified prayer January 4-10, with the theme THE HUMAN RIGHT: to know Jesus!
NICARAGUA MISSIONS TRIP MEETING - For all planning to
attend the Nicaragua Missions Trip, please meet in Room 103
(Choir Room), immediately following the service next Sunday,
January 4, for a brief meeting!

SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DAYS 1/26-31 - We
are traveling to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida
for all Junior and Seniors and above, who are interested in
checking out this AG university. Cost: $100 due by 1/18! Got

ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING
Our annual business meeting is Wednesday night, January 28,
at 7pm in the Sanctuary. All activities are canceled except
Refuge Youth Service! Elections this year are for two deacons,
both for 3-year terms:

Everyone is welcome to attend! You must be a member for 90
days in order to be eligible to vote!

FINE ARTS FESTIVAL - The District Fine Arts Festival will take
place at Evangel University on Saturday, February 2. Pick up
your application this Wednesday night in The Rock before or
after youth service. All applications are due with payment by
January 22.
COLLEGE & CAREER - All 18-25 year-olds are invited every
Tuesday at 7pm to Walkabout Coffee Shop for a great time of
hot java and The Word! This month we will be diving into the
book of Philippians!

Our Men’s Ministries is kicking off the New Year with a Bible/Book
Study on Saturdays, January 10, 17, 24, and 31, 8-9am. January 17 is
the regular monthly breakfast in the Gym and will include this study!
Donuts and coffee will be served on the other three Saturdays!
If you not yet gotten involved with our Men’s Ministries, this is a great
time to join. Mark your calendar now for February, March, April and May
- 3rd Saturday monthly, 8-9am, in the Gym!
ROYAL RANGERS & GOD’S GIRLS
AWARDS CEREMONY
The award ceremony for our young boys (RR) and girls (GG) will be
Wednesday, January 21, 7pm in the Family Life Center. We will recognize
the merit work that these children have done in 2014 and the progress
each child has made in building their relationship with Jesus Christ. The
children are going to have a BOUNCE HOUSE PIZZA PARTY after their
awards are presented. There will be pizza and games for ALL THE KIDS!
Parents and family are welcome to attend the ceremony!
