Welcome!! We are glad you came to join with us in our worship today. We hope that you have
felt God’s love in a new, refreshing way…
From Fr. Tony
This past week, we laid a couple of people to rest from
our AFC. One was Mary Jane Salfer and the other was
George Holzerland. I have been blessed to visit Mary Jane
at her home; however, I never met George before.
Granted George joined the Holy Rosary Parish in North
Mankato, but it made me think about others who I may not
know. Therefore, I am asking that you help me out. If
you, or if you know of someone who would like a visit
(especially on First Fridays) and receive the sacraments,
please let me know. I would love to have an updated
home Communion list, so that I can visit those people who
are unable to make it to weekly Mass. My hope and desire
is to start having organized visits in the near future. Godwilling, we will incorporate more of Deacon Mike’s
ministry to our area to help out as well.
Speaking of my hope and desire, some people have
shown a desire to have Mass on Wednesday evening
before Thanksgiving, but I did not want to interfere with
the tradition of having an ecumenical service for our area.
However, after talking with the area pastors, we would
like to change the ecumenical service to the beginning of
the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. I personally think
this makes more sense, because we do nothing currently
this week for our area churches, but yet it seems more
appropriate. Secondly, our Wednesday evening will be
free to have an anticipatory Mass for Thanksgiving.
Therefore, please join us for the first, and hopefully
annual, Prayer Service for Christian Unity on January 18th
at 7:00 PM, hosted by St. Anne’s. There will be a
reception to follow.
Thirdly, as we began this Christmas Season with the
great anticipation of our Lord’s birth (as He desired to be
one like us), let us also grow in the desire to be more like
Him. This weekend ends the Christmas Season, but once
again, we are invited to take what we experienced and
exemplify His life in ours. May we help others grow in
our desire.
Finally, I want to thank all who helped at St. Anne’s
and St. Mary’s funerals this past week. Your desire to
help at the luncheon and your various ministries at the
Mass was a sign of what this season is all about…giving.
Throughout this year, may the idea of giving, be our desire
for living.
In Christ through His Mother, Fr. Tony
The Thursday, January 15 School Mass will be
celebrated for all the memorials that were given in the
Christmas Season. Thank you for allowing the Churches
to experience a beautiful environment.

“We are put on this earth to love God, love our
neighbor and make disciples. How many times does our
own pride and ego get in the way on fulfilling God’s plan
for us? Humbling ourselves before God and putting Him
first in all things should be our top priority.”
THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD
“The covetous claim to be Christian, yet they have no
trust in Christ. For they are always afraid of want in the
time to come, no matter how much they have.
- St. Thomas More

March commemorates the deaths of more than 57 million
unborn babies killed by abortion since the 1973 U.S.
Supreme Court decisions legalized abortion on demand
for all nine months of pregnancy.
Your presence will help show elected officials and the
public the depth of support for pro-life legislation
protecting women and unborn babies.
