Please wear comfortable clothing, sturdy footwear, and be prepared for the weather! Bring a drink and snack for the rest stop. Some walks use short train or bus journeys to reach suitable walk routes. Please check the description and bring change and rail/bus passes if you have them. A circular walk around the hill with views of the Tamar Valley and the moors. Louis Tea room afterwards for a cuppa and chat. Approx 1 ½ hours some uneven footpaths 18th February Yelverton to Clearbrook New Walk Meet 9.45 Gunnislake station to car share or 10.30 Yelverton free car park near the church following Drakes Trail and visiting Clearbrook and Hoo Meavy Bridge. Approx 2 hours with some road walking, and footpaths, one uphill 14th January Devon Great Consols Meet 10.10 Gunnislake station to car share or 10.30 Bedford Saw mills car park (PL19 9JE) £2 needed for car park. Enjoy a circular walk using the Tamar Trails network past mine workings Approx 2 hours. One gradual uphill section. Well maintained paths. 25th February St Dominick circular New Walk Meet 10.00 The Who’d Have Thought it Inn St Dominick to pre order and pre pay for lunch. A walk along lanes to Bohetherick and Cotehele Mill returning to The Who’d for lunch. st 21 January Discovery Trail and Okel Tor Meet 10.30 Calstock village car park to walk along the river Tamar using the Discovery Trail going round the Okel Tor mine site and up to Harewood returning to Calstock. A 45 minute level circular walk or 1 ½ hours including Okel Tor For longer route two uphill sections. Can be muddy in places 28th January Lynher valley and Cadsonbury Fort Meet 10.15 Callington Free Car Park Saltash Road (PL17 7EG) to car share or Callington New Bridge A390 Liskeard Road. Limited parking. Walk along the Lynher and then walk up to the fort. Optional shorter level section. Approx 2 hours. Easy level section by the river. One steep uphill 4th February Danescombe Valley Meet 10.30 Gunnislake station to walk along the lanes and across fields to the Danescombe Valley. Different options available to walk to Calstock. Bus pass or change needed for return to Gunnislake 1 ½ to 2 hours can be muddy, some uneven paths. Optional gradual uphill section 11th February Luckett circular Meet 10.30 meet Luckett village car park to walk along lanes, paths and through woods to return to the car park Approx 2 hours. Can be muddy. One uphill section 4th March Calstock Church Meet 10.30 Gunnislake station to walk along quiet lanes to Calstock Church and to Harewood with different options to reach Calstock. Approx. 2 hours One uphill section. River path can be muddy Change or bus pass needed for return to Gunnislake 11th March Cotehele Circular via Morden Valley and Newton Meet 10.30 Cotehele Quay car park to walk along lanes and paths to Newton and across fields to Cotehele wood returning to the quay. 2 to 2 ½ hours. Can be muddy. One steep downhill 18th March Danescombe Valley from Calstock Meet 10.30 Calstock village car park to walk along the lane to the Danescombe valley following the valley up and returning through Cotehele woods. Approx 2 hours. One gradual uphill. Can be muddy 25th March Drakes Trail from Grenofen Bridge Meet 10.30 at Grenofen Bridge to walk along the River Walkham to Magpie Bridge returning along the well maintained Drakes Trail Approx 2 ½ hours. Some uneven paths. Can be muddy 1st April Discovery Trail and Harewood Meet 10.30 Calstock Village car park to walk along the Discovery Trail up to Harewood for coffee. Approx 1 ½ hour walk
