This is an intensive time of Bible study and worship for our students. They will also be involved in ministry projects in our community. At this writing 180 students have registered for the weekend. This is a tremendous undertaking and requires numerous volunteers. I am grateful to all who are participating and especially Dustin Scott, our Student Minister, and his great leadership. Wynette Cox, a long-time member of our church, is retiring after serving 27 years as a ministry assistant for the Autauga Baptist Association. Her faithfulness and dedication to this ministry has helped our association to be one of the best in our state convention. A reception in her honor is scheduled for January 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in our chapel. We are also joining our 29 sister churches in collecting a love offering for her the next two Sundays. Please use a pew envelope and mark it “Wynette Love Offering.” She and her husband, Kerry, are faithful members of our church and serve in many ways. See you Sunday for another great day. Travis No matter what kind of losing (or winning) streak you may find yourself in, we want to tackle once and for all the issues that keep us from the goal line. It starts with God’s forgiveness—the freeing force that fuels the most epic comebacks! The Johnny Hunt Men’s Conference is an ongoing ministry of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Over the past 30 years, Pastor Hunt has seen thousands of men ministered to during this unique event each year. On Friday evening, January 30 & Saturday morning, January 31, we are hosting the 2015 Johnny Hunt Men's Conference via live simulcast in the FBC Chapel. The simulcast will include each of the keynote sessions led by Johnny Hunt and two of the breakout sessions featuring Boyd Bailey & Bob Reccord. The conference simulcast is free; there is a $10 charge for a pre-conference steak dinner. Men, please sign-up for the conference by emailing john.johnston@fbcprattville.org or calling John at 365-0606, ext. 221.
