Welcome
Tom Lacey
Today is a new day, rising fresh from the Creator’s
hand. Today we begin again, with praise and thanks to
God who made us, Christ who redeemed us and the
Spirit who guides us. Here we participate in the
fellowship of the forgiven, the church. It is good to be
together today.
Prayer Requests
Call to Worship
Now is the moment of grace.
This is the hour of blessing.
Today is the day of salvation.
Here is the path to new life.
Already joy is abounding, and hope is rising.
For this is the day God is making.
Let us rejoice and sing.
* Hymn (bulletin)
Mighty to Save
Call to Confession
The call to confession is always a call to experience God’s mercy. In
admitting the truth of our lives to our loving Creator, we open
ourselves to the experience of grace and healing. Trusting in that
divine love, let us pray, first in silence.
Prayer of Confession
Let us pray
Almighty and most merciful God, we are thankful that
your mercy is higher than the heavens, wider than our
wanderings, deeper than all our sin. Forgive our
careless attitudes toward your purposes, our refusal to
relieve the suffering of others, our envy of those who
have more than we have, our obsession with creating a
life of constant pleasure, our indifference to the
treasures of heaven, our neglect of your wise and
gracious law.
Help us to change our way of life so that we may desire
what is good, love what you love, and do what you
command, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Assurance of Forgiveness
O taste and see that our God is good! Through the limitless
compassion of Christ, our sins are forgiven. Through the power of
the Holy Spirit, we are energized for God’s work of justice and
peace in the world. Thanks be to God.

Creator, Christ, and Holy Ghost.
Invitation to the Lord’s Table
God be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to God Most High.
It is right to give God thanks and praise.
Communion Prayers and Hymn (PH #251)
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky
and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty;
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Lord’s Prayer (Debts/Debtors)
Breaking Bread and Pouring Wine
Agnus Dei (Said by all)
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world:

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Let us give thanks!
Thank you, merciful God,
for gladness in this bread and cup,
for love that cannot die,
for peace the world cannot give,
for joy in the company of friends,
for the splendors of creation,
and for the mission of justice
you have made our own.
Give us the gifts of this holy communion —
oneness of heart, love for neighbors,
forgiveness of enemies,
the will to serve you every day,
and life that never ends.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
* Spirit Song
O let the Son of God enfold you
with his Spirit and his love.
Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
O let him have the things that hold you,

Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.

Mighty to Save
Morgan/Fielding
Everyone needs compassion,
a love that’s never failing.
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness,
the kindness of a savior,
the hope of nations.
Savior, he can move the mountains.
My God is mighty to save, he is mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
So take me as you find me,
all my fears and failures.
Fill my life again.
I give my life to follow,
everything I believe in.
Now I surrender. Yes, I surrender.
Savior, he can move the mountains.
My God is mighty to save, he is might to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
Shine your light and let the whole world see.
We’re singin’ for the glory of the risen king, Jesus.
Shine your light and let the whole world see.
We’re singin’ for the glory of the risen king.
Savior, he can move the mountains.
My God is mighty to save, he is mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
You’re my savior, you can move the mountains.
God, you are mighty to save, you are mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave.
Yes, you conquered the grave.
You are mighty to save.
