Having scared a few
fellow pedestrians with my flailing antics in
my efforts to remain vertical, it was with a
great sense of relief that I eventually
stepped through the threshold of one of our
very smartest department stores.
I made sure I took a moment to wipe my
feet rigorously on the doormat before I
ventured any further.
No sooner had I
placed my foot on the highly polished
flooring then I was on my back surrounded
by concerned assistants. I tell you, I could
not have crashed more loudly had I tried –
oh, the embarrassment of it all.
