(TSXV : EUO) is a Canadian public company specializing in the acquisition, development and commercialization of innovative energy security, authentication, verification and certification technologies. Eurocontrol controls 100% of Global Fluids International S.A. (GFI), Xenemetrix Ltd. (Xenemetrix), and XwinSys Ltd. (XwinSys). GFI is a pioneer in the development and implementation of innovative molecular marking systems for the oil industry. The patented PetromarkTM system provides companies and Governments with the ability to minimize revenue loss by minimizing and eliminating the illicit trading of fuels that is estimated to cost upwards of US$100 billion per year. PetromarkTM detects fuel that has been contaminated and acts as a deterrent for smuggling, tax evasion, adulteration and comingling. The hydrocarbon marking market is estimated at US$300 million in the next three years. Xenemetrix is the supplier of the XRF systems that make up the monitoring component of Eurocontrol’s ISO 17025 Petromark™ hydrocarbon marking technology. Xenemetrix has also introduced Petro-Marine XRF system, an onboard monitoring system for marine vessels that utilizes X-Ray Florescence to detect sulfur in diesel fuel to provide compliance with new international regulations for sulfur oxides in diesel fuel. The market for PetroMarine is estimated by Eurocontrol to be US$1.6 billion. Xenemetrix was the recipient of the 2010 Frost & Sullivan’s “Global Product Line strategy of the year award in the EDXRF Analyzers Market”. XwinSys is currently developing technology and intellectual property that will combine 2D and 3D image processing technology, from Brossh Inspection Systems Ltd. of Israel, with Xenemetrix’s EDXRF technology. The 2D and 3D imaging will be used for surface scanning of wafers and electronic boards used in semiconductors, while the EDXRF technology will be used for elemental analysis of the materials that comprise the wafers and electronic boards.
