Why the unfiltered black light (BL) and filtered black light blue (BLB) combination?
This exclusive BL and BLB combination ensures the highest level of flying insect attraction. Pairing a bright, unfiltered lamp with a filtered blue lamp reduces the visible light that can act as a repellent and maximizes the amount
of insect types attracted to the unit. BLB lamps were tested and found to have an increased attraction from agricultural insects and pests.
My lamps are lit, why do I need to change them?
A lamp that is still lit may not be doing the job you need it to. Black light (UV) lamps are most effective when new.
They lose their ability to attract insects long before they actually burn out. UV light is invisible and while the lamps
remain lit the UV producing phosphor only has an effective life of 7000 hours or about 9 months.
When should I change my lamps?
It is essential to replace lamps at least annually. Most users choose to change their lamps in the spring, which is the
beginning of the insect season. Each lamp comes standard with a year/date label for audit compliance, but also to
aid in yearly replacement of lamps.
What are Shat-R-Shield® lamps and why upgrade?
Shat-R-Shield® developed a fluorescent lamp with a specially formulated coating for black lights. This unique safety
coating allows the critical UV wavelengths to penetrate and attract flying insects while special UV stabilizers prevent degradation. In case of accidental breakage, the coating will contain all glass shards. Safety coated lamps
are required to be used in areas with open or exposed food-grade grade product per FDA Food Code Sections
6-202.11; USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, Chapter 5, Section 1. Safety coated lamps also protect the employee if a lamp should break during usage or when changing bulbs.

GUARDIAN GLUEBOARD UNITS
Glueboard units are efficient and effective for
areas where other pest control devices are not
adequate or allowed due to proximity to open
food processing areas. Insects are attracted
by the unfiltered, white bulbs and then firmly
stick to the glueboards until the boards are
discarded and replaced. Continuous 24 hour
use is recommended.
Portable Models
Stainless steel construction and
carrying handle make the portable
model durable, yet easy to relocate. This unit features chrome plated safety guards
and can be placed on a work surface, or wall or ceiling mounted. Also available in
aluminized steel. Each model contains glueboards and two unfiltered white bulbs.
One unfiltered, white bulb (BL) can be switched out with one black light blue filtered bulb (BLB) for increased variety of insect attraction. Models GBP182S and GBP362S
are equipped with universal voltage ballasts, 110 to 277 Volt, 50/60 Hertz. While models GBP242S
and GBP482S are dedicated 110 Voltz, 60 Hertz.

A lit bulb doesn’t mean a
working bulb!
Black lights are most effective when new, and lose their ability
to attract insects after 7000 hours (9 months) of continuous
use. Each bulb is year labeled, and is recommended to be
replaced annually.
Black Light Bulbs
The Insect-O-Cutor® label on your black light bulbs comes
with a known difference - pretesting for high output. Off the
shelf black bulbs can vary by as much as 40% in the UV range
needed to attract insects. For best results, use one unfiltered
black light (BL) and one blue filtered (BLB) bulb.

Spiderweb™ Fly Glue Trap
Spiderweb combines a premium glue formula with a highly attractive and universally
tested fluorescent chartreuse color. This has
been proven to attract flying insects better
than any other color combination. A food
bait as well as a sex attractant is added to
make the Spiderweb even more effective.
The trap is a 23’ x 12” roll with double sided
glue surfaces. Pull out in increments of 6 to 8
feet and place horizontally over areas of high
fly density where livestock are housed. When
the exposed area is full of flies, simply roll up
and pull out a fresh new surface or replace
