Hints and tips to
make a good application on AV
We all know that competition is high so here are three hints and
tips on making a good application.
1.
Ensure all spelling and grammar is correct on your application (If
possible get someone else to check before you send)
2.
Provide as much information as possible on the application form:
 Qualifications (GCSE, A-Levels and BTECs)
 Work experience – outline duties carried out
 Voluntary work – this counts as experience, outline details of duties
carried out
 Let us know if you have a driving licence and access to a car

Ensure answers to questions from employers are filled in with lots of
information and avoid one word answers. Here are two examples of
questions you may expect:
 Give an example of when you have worked in a team
 Give an example of when you have given good customer service
*Even if you do not have any work experience try and use examples from
home or school please do not leave the answer box blank.

Two new and exciting one year Level 2 Business Administration Apprentice opportunities have arisen
based at our Streetpride Hellaby depot.
One of the posts is in a team who deal with Community Delivery services such as street cleansing,
street lighting, basic highway maintenance, frontline community services for example litter, graffiti
removal, street sweeping, grass cutting etc and the other is in Waste Management dealing with
Domestic, Commercial and clinical Waste Collection Services.
You will learn and develop business administration skills and then, under supervision, will assist in
providing support with administrative tasks using standard
letters/templates/databases/spreadsheets and documentation.
Vacancy Description
 Carrying out a range of administrative support tasks for example, dealing with delivery of
incoming/outgoing post, filing, maintaining staff records, preparing documents for scanning,
photocopying, faxing, taking/logging messages, monitoring and ordering of materials and stock

trained and competent in IPAF powered access, PASMA mobile scaffold towers, Manual Handling, Confined
Space Working. All necessary health and safety documentation is provided, including risk assessments and
method statements prior to any installation works commencing on site.
