ROBO-OLYMPICS
What is ROBO-OLYMPICS?
 Design a manually controlled robot.
 Cover maximum distance in the shortest possible
time.
 Overcoming the hurdles.
 Check out how much your hand , your mind and your
robot combines with each other.
1. College/Zonal Level
 After getting selected from the individual colleges
participants have to compete at zonal level.
 Over all 12 zones in Rajasthan.
 One team from each Zone will be selected for further
competition.
 Two rounds are there at college/zonal level.
 4-5 hours required for both rounds .
Zonal Track
Stages here:
 Round 1: Elimination round
 Robots have to cover the given track in minimum possible time.
 Half of the teams will be selected for Round 2 based on their robot
performances and specifications.
 Round 2: Finale for University Level competition
 Arena for this round is different from Round 1.
 Only one team will be selected for University level from each zone.
 ARENA SPECIFICATIONS:
1) The width of the track will be 35 centimeters.
2) Inclination of the slope will be maximum 30 degrees from the
horizontal.
 TEAM SPECIFICATIONS:
1) Maximum 3 participants are allowed per team.
2) Only the team members can control the robot.
 ROBOT SPECIFICATIONS: 1) Wireless robots are compulsory at both College/Zonal

Dimensions- (18 x 18 x 18) cm3 to (25 x 25 x 25) cm3
Weight not more than 3 kg.
The source of energy may be in form of batteries or DC
power supply.
There may be surprised obstacles in the tack.
Robot must be self designed, readymade robot are not
allowed.
2. UNIVERSITY LEVEL
 Teams selected from zonal level will compete here.
 The arena here may be different from that in
college/zonal level.
 Surprise elements may be there on the track.
 2-3 hours required for each round.
Stages here:
 Round 1.
 This round will be an elimination round.
 Out of 12 teams 6 teams will be selected for Round 2.
 Round 2.
 Again arena may be different in this round.
 Top 3 teams will be awarded for their performance.
Rules
 The robot will be started from the START position.
 The robot, if required hand touch, will be placed on the
previous checkpoint.
 The hand touch will be done by the coordinators.
 For each hand touch a penalty of 1 min will be given.
 Total 2 skips are allowed in the whole track. Skips will add
extra time in total time.
 During a level, teams are not allowed to change their robot.
Judging Criteria




Time lap
Number of check points cleared.
Number of skips taken.
Number of hand touches.
Points= (Tthrshold-Ttaken)*10-[h*100+ n*1200]
Where,
Tthrshold is a constant and will be set and revealed on
the day of the event.
Ttaken is the time taken by the robot on the track after
start.
h is the number of hand touches during the race.
n is the number of skips taken.
Prizes
Prizes for top 3 teams.
 Certificates for all the teams
selected for University Level.
COSTING OF ARENA
 Rs 3,000 at each zone.
