TODAY’S NEWS:
This week is FFA Week! It’s Blue and Gold Day at Leander, so I hope you’re filled with the Ag Spirit! Today is also our Ice Cream Social! It will be open to all
students, so come out and enjoy some treats with some great company! The Farm Fact of the Day – Agricultural land provides habitat for 75% of the nation’s
wildlife.
It was an extremely cold night last night but the Lady Lions were hot at the Viper Relays! The Varsity team came home as meet team CHAMPIONS and the JV
team fought hard and came home with a 3rd place plaque!
Contributing to the Varsity team points were: Taking first place in the 400 relay was Paige Ellison, Hannah Passe, Andrea Mateo and Funmi Orekoya also bringing
home the gold in the 800 Relay was again Ellison, Passe , Mateo and Rayanna Carter! Placing 2nd in the Mile relay was Taylor Bode, Carter, and Orekoya.
Claire Crone was 1st in the 1600 with Kim Prada following in 6th. 4th in the 200 was Passe. Taking 3rd, 4th and 5th in the 400 was Orekoya, Bode and Pardes Larks.
In the 800 Crone was 4th and Bode placed 6th. In the 3200 Kim Parada placed 6th. 2nd in the 100 meter Hurdles was Kayla Chargois.
Taking 4th and 5th in the 300 hurdles was Cyndey Park and Chargois. Busi Banda placed 1st in triple jump, 4th in high jump and 6th in shot.
Larks placed 2nd in triple jump. In long Jump Ellison placed 4th followed by Jordan Black in 6th. The Lady Lions with Travel to Lockhart next Saturday.
The JV Performances will be announced Monday!

week during all lunches!
