RACE INFORMATION
Start Time: 4:00 p.m.
Registration/Packet Pick-Up: 3:00 p.m.
Site: Muscatine County Fairgrounds, West Liberty
Corner of First Street and Calhoun Street
Entry Fee: $25.00 – includes a race shirt
(with early registration) and a warm (and
well deserved) post-run bowl of chili.
Limitations: Because of possible cold weather
conditions, water crossings, and obstacles in the race, all
Participants in Hero Race must be at least thirteen (13)
years old on the day of the race. All ages may enter Zero
Race. Further, no pets, strollers, or similar items are
allowed on the race course.
Registration Deadline: Participants may register up to
the day of the race. Shirts will be pre-ordered. To receive
a shirt you must pre-register by March 4th.
Proceeds: All proceeds from the race will go to support
the Muscatine County Fairgrounds. Awards: Prizes
will be awarded to the first place male and female runners
in each age category; 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59
and 60 on up.
Prizes awarded for best costume.
Safety: It will probably be cold and you will most likely
get wet; dress appropriately for the race and have dry
clothes and shoes available for post-race activities. There
will be heated, in-door shelter available at the fairgrounds
before and after the race.

Waiver and Agreement: I understand that entering this race is a hazardous activity and that this race presents extreme obstacles
including, but not limited to, water crossings, cold temperatures, hills, and climbing obstacles, and I agree not to participate unless I
am medically able. I assume all risks associated with competing in this race including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other
participants, negligent or wanton acts of other participants, completing all obstacles, defects or condition of premises, the effects of the
weather, and all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that all entries are final with no refunds, and state that I
am at least 18 years old or my Parent or Guardian has reviewed this waiver and consented to its terms. I further agree to waive and
relinquish all claims I may have as a result of participating in this race against the Muscatine County Fairgrounds (including its
officials, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and employees) and any property owners along the race course, and I do hereby fully release and
forever discharge the Muscatine County Fairgrounds (including its officials, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and employees) and any
property owners along the race course from any and all claims for injuries, damages or loss that I may have or which may accrue to
me and arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with this race.
