Brist ol Parks & Recreation Department Volume 162 March 2015 March Newsletter PR Bristol Warren Resource Fair A Funtastic Health & Wellness Expo. To be held at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center on Saturday, April 11th, from 9:3012:00. this is a free family event. Come explore, learn, and have FUN! Special points of interest: March Recreation Board Meeting-Tuesday the 10th. Our Office number is 253-1611. The Town website is www.bristolri.us Body Defined Body Defined is on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. at the QuintaGamelin building. This is a low impact class that uses light weights with high repetitions to strengthen and tone the body. Classes are $7 for walk-ins or $6 with the purchase of a 10 punch card. Boston Red Sox We will be going to see the Red Sox take on the Orioles Monday, April 20th (Patriot Day in Massachusetts and the first day of school vacation in R.I.). We will be leaving the QuintaGamelin Community Center at 8:00 a.m. and game time is 11:05 a.m. Tickets and motor coach transportation are $80 per person and include seating in right field box seat #87. Zumba Master Class We will be having a Zumba Master Class with Zumba Jammmer, Laura Lanni. This event will be held on Sunday, March 22nd from 11:00-12:15, at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center. The cost is $15. Call to reserve your spot. Easter Egg Hunt Due to the weather, we will not be having an Easter Egg Hunt this year. Yoga Yoga classes are being held on Monday evenings at 6:00 and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center. If you are looking for a great yoga workout, this class is for you. Beginners welcome. The cost is $7.00 for walkins or a 10 punch class card can be purchased for $60. ZUMBA We are offering Adult Zumba fitness on Monday & Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 and Tuesday and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Classes are $5.00 for walk-ins, or $50 for a 12 punch card. All classes are being held at the new Quinta-Gamelin Community Center at 101 Asylum Rd. Intermediate Badminton We have an adult intermediate Badminton group that plays on Tuesday evenings at the QG Community Center from 7:30-9:30 p.m. There is no fee to participate. Call for more info. Senior Trip to McCoy We will be going to see the PawSox take on Indianapolis on Wednesday, May 13th. Game time is 12:05 and we will leave the Benjamin Church Senior Center at 10:30. Tickets and transportation are $7. PPAC We will be going to the Providence Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 22nd to see the hit show, “Dirty Dancing”. Tickets and transportation are $44. The show starts at 7:00 and we will leave from the Quinta -Gamelin Community Center 5:45. We also have tickets for “Kinky Boots on June 10th. More info to come.
