(366-6631) While reading a newspaper, Walter came across an article about a beautiful actress and model who married a boxer who was noted for his relatively low IQ. “I’ll never understand,” he said to his wife, “why the biggest jerks get the most attractive wives.” His wife replied, “Why, thank you, dear.” Lasagna, Tossed Salad, Garlic Bread, Brownies & Drink $7.50 Adults & Youth $3.00 Children under 12 $20.00 Max per Household Well, it’s always good to give a compliment. So, let me compliment all those who help make Sunday night special. That includes Pioneer Club workers, youth leaders and supper preparers, handbell musicians, and…parents that support all of this. Pray for the youth as they experience Senior High Weekend at Eagle Eyrie this weekend (returning Sunday). Easter will be here before you know it. Be thinking about who you’ll invite for our Easter service. In addition to a great Easter sermon, our choir will present special music with brass and percussion. We need donations of individually wrapped candy for our upcoming Easter Egg Hunt on April 4. A box is available in the Fellowship Hall. See ya Sunday, Wally VBS Date Change Please note: VBS has been moved back one week from June 29-July 3 to June 22-26 due to the July 4 Independence Day holiday. Please mark your calendars. She loved Melrose and her church family & was greatly comforted by the love you returned. The warm expressions of sympathy extended to me and my family during the return to Roanoke for her funeral and burial were remarkable. Thank you to the church staff for a beautiful service, to those who helped provide the delicious lunch & to all who expressed their love and support by word or deed during this difficult time. Although her death leaves me heartbroken, I find solace in the knowledge that she lived a long, happy & productive life of service, secure in her faith in God & surrounded by those who loved her, particularly her beloved Melrose family. Thank you again for your love & support.
