In continuation to this Office Order No.JPD/SE(TW) /XEN(TW-1)/ RAPDRP/CLRC/F./D.1691 dt 31.07 .2014 wherein the rates for the hiring of vehicles of
chapter code 23.13 & 23.14 were revised & the type of vehicles on hiring basis allowed
to different officers were as under:-

Assistant Engineer
: - JEEPS Only.
Executive Engineer
: - JEEP I BOLERO Only.
Superintending Engineer & above :- Any Vehicle, as specified in the
Chapter code No. 23.14
Further looking to avoid inconvenience/ consequent work suffering, if the
designated vehicles are not readily available, then the existing/ engaged vehicles were
allowed up to March-2015 vide this office letter no. 1769 Dt06.08.2014.
The case was again discussed in the CLPC meeting held on dt.25.03.2015 and it
has been decided as under;(i)
AEN's may also be allowed to hire BOLERO in case of non- availability of
prescribed vehicle for which concerned Chief Engineer may be authorized to
decide the case on merit basis.
(ii)
The BOLERO may be allowed to hire up to 5 years model.
Other conditions stipulated in the letter no.1691 dt.31.07.2014 issued by this
office shall remain unchanged.
