4-H and YOUTH DEVELOPMENT April 10, 2015 MEMORANDUM TO: District 12 County Extension Agents District 12 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches District 12 4-H Shooting Sports Participants District 9, 10, & 11 County Extension Agents SUBJECT: 2015 District 12 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun Match & Invitational Shoot The District 12 4-H Shooting Sports Committee is pleased to announce its 2015 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun Match in conjunction with Hidalgo County 4H Shooting Sports’ Open Invitational Match. In an effort to provide additional opportunities for 4-H members across District 12 and South Texas, these events will allow shotgun enthusiasts the opportunity to engage in a new competition. Awards will be provided for each age division for both District 12 4-H’ers and 4-H members outside (invitational) the district. The courses of fire will include three events to include Trap, Skeet, and a WhizBang match (150 targets combined). The match will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Mission Trap & Skeet Range. The facility is located ½ mile south of Expressway 83 on Conway Avenue (FM 1016) in Mission, Texas. Registration for this event will take place on 4-H Connect (https://texas.4honline.com) by selecting the “D12 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun Match” event and completing the iClays online (https://www.iclays.com) registration (see flyer). The registration period will begin immediately and conclude on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Registration and fee information is also attached for your reference. Only registered 4-H members can complete online registration. All registration details and instructions can be found on the Shooting Sports page of the District 12 4-H Website (http://d124h.tamu.edu/shooting-sports). This event is open to 4-H members statewide. An announcement flyer is also available to assist you in marketing this opportunity locally and among other 4-H shooting sports members.
