Harvard women’s leadership board – study trip to Copenhagen
Francine LeFrak :
Francine LeFrak is an award winning producer, a successful social entrepreneur and a distinguished
philanthropist. Francine’s passion for women empowering women led her to the founding of SAME SKY, a
trade-not-aid jewelry initiative that provides employment to HIV+ survivors of the Rwandan Genocide.
SAME SKY offers a hand-up, not a handout to women artisans by providing them with the dignity of work
and the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty. In recognition of Francine’s humanitarian efforts,
she received the Women Together Award from the United Nations, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor from the
National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, and the Human Spirit Award from the Christopher and Dana
Reeve Foundation

Dianne Laurence:
Executive Director, Pivot Group, Founder and Chair, Laurance Wines. Dianne Laurance’s entrepreneurial
flair has involved her in a diverse range of successful business ventures including establishing restaurants,
design, manufacturing, and property development. Ten years ago she entered the wine industry after
purchasing a vineyard in the premium wine-growing region of Margaret River in Western Australia. After
building an iconic wine tourism destination and producing ten wines under her own label, she has established
herself as one of the best in this industry. Dianne’s focus is now to empower women and girls within
Australia. Her involvement in a number of organizations including Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the
World, the Clinton Global Initiative, TEDWomen, and Freedom to Create gives her the focus to achieve this.

Joyce Reuben:
Mrs Joyce Reuben is Partner, Motcomb Estates, Ltd.After graduating from Finch College in Manhattan in
1972, she moved to London to attend an interior decoration program. While there, she met her husband, who
was in the real estate business. Thereafter she began to refurbish apartments in prime locations. Reuben and
her husband created a company which grew to become the second most successful in the Estate Gazette’s
property list

Shiela Klehm:
Managing Director, Private Wealth Management, UBS Financial Services, Inc
Sheila Klehm is a Managing Director in the Private Wealth Management Division of UBS, where she
provides comprehensive wealth management solutions to ultra high net worth individuals, family offices,
trusts, foundations, and endowments. Prior to joining UBS, Klehm spent seven years in the Private Wealth
Management Division of Morgan Stanley and 22 years with the JP Morgan Private Bank.

Haifa F. Al Kaylani:
Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani, Founder Chairman, Arab International Women’s Forum is well known in
international government and business circles as a high-impact change agent focusing on leadership in

Claudia Walters:
Claudia Walters is founder and president of Chelsea Investor Relations, an international public relation firm.
Chelsea works with growing companies to increase their international business and to help raise money for
their expansion. Claudia Walters was an advisory board member of Commonwealth Associates, an
investment and merchant bank that raises money for medium sized companies. She reported to the President
and CEO of Commonwealth Associates . Walters was responsible for all foreign investments, specifically in
Latin America and Europe.

Debra Clawar:
Debra is Group Head of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, Zurich Insurance
Co, She has spent her career in both line and staff roles.. She started her career as a Clinical Associate at
Walden Counseling and Therapy center where worked in the therapeutic practice and management
consulting. Subsequently she worked in different capacities with American Capital Access, i-Deal and the
Actaeon Group before moving to AXA Equitable as Assistant Vice President Employee Relations.

Kim Brizzolara:
Kim Brizzolara is a feature film and documentary producer, private investor, and philanthropist who also
serves as adviser to several nonprofit organizations. She currently has several films in development, from a
documentary on UN peacekeepers, to a narrative feature based on a memoir of a blind hero of the French
Resistance, co-produced with Martin Scorsese and Ann Druyan. She is executive vice chair of the Hamptons
International Film Festival, where she chairs a section called Films of Conflict & Resolution that she
cofounded 10 years ago, and oversees an international advisory board in the development and production of
the juried group of films from conflict zones of the world.

Maxine H. Burton is the founder, president and COO of burton + BURTON. Since 1982, she has established
her company as a leader in the balloon and gift industry. Since 1982, she has established her company as a
leader in the balloon and gift industry. Through her diligence, burton + BURTON has become the largest
supplier of balloons and related gift items in the United States, employing approximately 300 employees and
enjoying a worldwide customer base. In 2000, Burton successfully expanded her product line to include

Carol M. Penn:
Carol Penn established her career as an international art dealer, appraiser, and consultant. She is also
managing partner in her family’s real estate investment company. Through her family foundation, she
supports projects that focus on health and women’s issues. Her interest in medical research is reflected in her
board membership of Mt. Sinai Hospital in Florida and in funding organizations including the NYU
Women’s Wellness Clinic, Christopher Reeve Foundation, and the LIJ/North Shore University Hospital,
where family funding has provided transportation for patients in need

Carol Perrin:
Carol Perrin is an entrepreneur involved in independent projects, with focuses on various industries including
entertainment, real estate, and farming. She is keenly interested in social and political issues, particularly
education, civil liberties, and those affecting women and girls. Before retiring from the practice of law in
2009, Perrin was a principal shareholder and attorney at law with Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Lois F. Stark:
President of Stark Productions Inc. Lois Farfel Stark spent years as a producer of documentary films for
NBC Network News, working out of Washington, DC, and New York City and filming in Abu Dhabi, Israel,
Cuba, Liberia, South Africa, Northern Ireland, and throughout the U.S. Currently, she writes and presents
imaged talks on The Web and the Ladder, a visual tour of worldviews, from migratory to modern times. She

Liora Sternberg was president and director of Eagle Trading Systems Inc., a money management firm in
Princeton, NJ. From the time she founded the company in 1993 until her departure in 2011, Eagle grew to

Lauren J. Wachtler is a partner in the law firm of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP in its New York City
office, specializing in commercial and business litigation. She has served on the executive committee and in

Carol Locke:
Dr. Carol A. Locke, M.D. is a practicing physician, both Harvard trained and previously on the Harvard
faculty for over 14 years in psychiatry. Dr. Locke is an author, international speaker, and educator on omega3's and natural health including for Harvard Medical School. She is the founder of the non-profit,
International Omega-3 Awareness Day and the CEO and Founder of OmegaBrite, and has since 1997 been
committed to creating evidence based natural products of the highest quality for her patients and the public.
