AMS products are advanced solutions for the optimization of the manufacturing process in the pulp
& paper industry.
AMS solutions use a wide range of state of the art sensors based on advanced microwave technology.
The sensor AMS have been designed to be easily integrated within the most modern configurations
of paper machines, that are becoming even more compact and complex.
AMS sensors can be connected together through a hub, in a data network that allows easy integration
with existing control systems.
AMS systems allows you to monitor the performance of the machine clothing or directly the parameters of the paper sheet in the varius stages of production in enable an optimal control of:
> energy consumption and emissions;
> chemicals usage;
> unplanned downtime;
> planning machine’s shut-down for regular maintenance;
> safety in work area.
The sensors of the AMS series covering the needs of the whole machine, starting forming board (P1)
to press section (P2m, P2p) up to the dryer section (R1, R2) and can be used in a fixed configuration
(MD) or in scanning mode (CMD) .
All AMS sensors are connected via a robust serial bus to
a single device called AMS HUB.
AMS HUB allows the integrated data management of
the needed sensors network.
AMS HUB also allows an easily connection to machine
control system (DCS, QCS) via configurable analog outputs (4-20mA, 0-10V, 0-5V).
Connecting AMS HUB to the internet it also possible to
remotely control (via ethernet IP interface) each single
devices by the AMS integrated measurement system
and use the advanced reporting tools and analysis
available (AMS manager).
Non contact remote microwave sensor, can be used in
any point of the pulp machine where an high accuracy
and direct measure of the moisture content in the pulp
sheet is needed, eg. exit press section, dry section, etc..
Wide range from 400 to 1500 gsmH20 with a resolution
down to 0.1 gsm and immunity from different parameters allow high measurement accuracy and reliability.
Planar microwave sensor allows to measure water content in the forming board section.
Thanks to compact size, P1 can be used in most of the
forming board configurations.
Proprietary algorithm allows reliable and repeatitable
measurements in the range from 0 to 30.000 gsmH2O
with a resolution down to 10 gsm.
Planar microwave sensor allows to measure relative
moisture in the felts used in press section.
High speed rate (1024 samples/sec) and resolution
down to 1gsm, allow accurate measurements over a
range from 0 to 3.000 gsmH2O and high accuracy in
monitoring the state of the felt.
Planar sensor allows to measure permeability of the
felts in the press section.
High speed rate (256 samples/sec) and resolution down
to 0.1ml/min allow measurement over a range from 0 to
2.500ml/min.
* Used in combination with P2p sensor is the best solution for
an easy troubleshooting of the clogging and wear of the press
fabrics, to help planning felts change.
