Primary Newsletter
Dear Parents/Carers, Following on from last week I am pleased to announce that our Year 5 and 6 teams won their Maths challenge last week ‐ the teams consisted of Athiya, Cyrus, Alex and Maria. We are super proud of them all! We are also delighted to report the ongoing success of our netball and football teams who again enjoyed victories against other local school this week. Well done team Ark! Today the Ark Primary choir went to Stratford Town Hall to take part in the Ark Network’s Sing Into Spring event ‐ I am certain they have had a lot of fun and I look forward to hearing about the day. We have had another successful assessment week in the Primary school, the children have all worked really hard on their work and I am sure we will be very impressed with the progress they have all made. Have a fantastic weekend. Mr Watkins 6th February 2015 Issue 14

Parent Forum Vacancies If you are a parent in Year 2 Escher class the Parent Forum needs you! There are currently no parent rep‐
resentatives from these two classes, which means your voices are not being heard. End of Term Date The Parent Forum meets once every half‐term on Regrettably, there has been some confusion over Monday evenings between 5:30‐6:30pm. If you are when school closes for half term. I can confirm interested in being your class rep, please contact that the primary school is open on Thursday 12th Samira Sadeghi at samira7@gmail.com or 0773 936 February for a full school day until 4pm. 2622. Thank you! Halal Food There has also been some confusion about the kitchen serving non‐Halal meat. I would like to confirm that there has been no change to school policy on this issue and children will continue to be offered a choice of vegetarian or non‐
vegetarian food and not a choice between Halal and non‐Halal meat. PARENTS DAY MONDAY 16TH MARCH 2015 The Academy will be closed on this date.
