Farhat Dean of Faculty of Nursing & Health Sciences Notre Dame University – Louaize, Lebanon 1 543889-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SE-TEMPUS-JPHES The purpose of the project was to jointly reform and modernize a flexible inter-disciplinary training and professional life long program and diploma in applied health sciences and Notre Dame University (NDU) is a partner in developing and offering the integrated study program. It is a Lifelong Learning Program to enable people at all stages of their lives to take part in stimulating learning experiences and helping to develop strong institutional and individual capacity building. WP1. A SWOT analysis: NDU, represented by Dr. Antoine Farhat, has been present with the other partners in Sweden for the launching of the project at Linnaeus University in from December 17 to 20, 2013. In addition to the commencement of the project, the partners initiated their efforts with the SWOT analysis that was one of the main outputs of the projects. This task has been considered further beyond the timeframe of the first meeting. 2 543889-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SE-TEMPUS-JPHES WP2. Developing & modernizing professional Training/study program NDU hosted the meeting designated to the finalization for the Master program design on April 5, 2014 in Abou-Khater Auditorium at the Main Campus in Zouk Mosbeh. The team members from NDU were, in addition to the undergraduate and graduate students, Drs. Antoine Farhat, Doris Jaalouk, Jocelyne Bou Mosleh, Jessy Hayek and Pierre Gedeon. NDU’s team has also contributed in the course description and syllabi pertaining to Nutrition. 3 543889-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SE-TEMPUS-JPHES WP1. Staff Training: NDU, represented by Dr. Antoine Farhat and Helen Obeid has also participated in the Staff Training meeting held at Foggia University, Italy in June 2014. The meeting involved three days training on Project Management to explain the methodology of setting objectives, plans, and financing of health care projects. 4 543889-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SE-TEMPUS-JPHES NDU, represented by Dr. Jocelyne Bou Mosleh, has also participated in the Marrakesh meeting about healthcare and medical informatics and health care quality conducted at Cadi Ayyad University, Morocco on November2-3, 2014. WP4. Dissemination: NDU will participate in the Dissemination session for awareness about the new proposed Diploma and Master degree of Applied Health Sciences to be hosted by Zagazig University in May 2015. 5
