Dear Sir/Madam, We are very pleased to inform you that one-week ISTE workshop is being organised in association with IIT kharagpur on "Introduction to design of algorithm” from 25th may 2015 to 30th may 2015. It is conducted under the National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, and Govt. of India. Since this workshop will be conducted in the blended model, the participants will have to complete the online activities. These online activities will be equivalent of one week of full-time work. This workshop will transmitted live through internet to various coordinating remote centre across the country. Please note that all the activities of this workshop will be done exclusively at coordinating remote centre which are about 250 across country. Interested faculty members from different colleges can apply to attend the workshop at Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg (Remote Centre – 1166) acting as Remote centre in Durg – Bhilai region. Eligibility The participants must be a regular / visiting faculty in Engineering Degree College / Polytechnic / Other degree colleges. They must have at least B. Tech degree or M.Sc. degree (CS, IT, Mathematics) or MCA or equivalent degree. They should be teaching in departments (Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Application), where subjects like Algorithm Design, Programming & Data Structures, Numerical Algorithms, Parallel Algorithms, Distributed Algorithms, Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Analysis & Design etc. are taught at the under graduate or post graduate level. It is also mandatory that the participants upload a document from the Heads of their institutes to the effect that their college authorities do not have any objection to their participation and no official duties will be assigned during May 25, 2015 to May 30, 2015. Registration Enrollment will be strictly online, and no other mode of application will be entertained. The last date for enrollment and for submission of permission letter is 25 april 2015. While enrolling, the participant should submit a scanned copy of a permission letter from the principal/Head of the Institute, permitting the participant to attend the workshop for one week. The format of this letter is attached below. Registration without this letter will not be considered. Accomodation Accommodation shall be made available for a limited number of outstation participants, on before- hand intimation basis. Travel reimbursement upto Rs. 1000/- will be paid only to the outstation participants, if the distance traveled from their Institute to the Remote Center is more than 100 kms. Duration The duration of the workshop is 6 working days. It will start on Monday 25th May, 2015 at 9:00 AM and will end on Saturday 30th May, 2015.The participants must report to the remote centre by 8:00 AM on 25th May, 2015.
