Border Liners Orienteering Club Minutes of Committee Meeting held on Monday 30th March 2015 Present: Stella Lewsley (Chairman), Jeff Powell Davies, Gerry Garvey, David Rawle, Richard Evans, Emily Brown, Christine Goulding, Andy Lewsley, Dick Whitworth, Di Mitchell 1. Chair’s welcome: Thanks to the Browns for their hospitality. Apologies from Anita Laird, John Roelich, Paul Williams 2. Minutes meeting 26th Jan 2015: Signed 3. Treasurer: Binsey-profit £291. Askham- profit approx £100 Discussion about funding from NWOA for coaching training. Stella to enquire David to investigate possible grant from Carlisle City Council for coaching ACTION SL ACTION DR 4. Feedback from recent events: Binsey successful, 170 competitors. Askham: Results on airer worked well. Club to purchase one. Isabel appreciated mentoring by Andy Junior Coaching at Talkin Tarn had gone well. Gerry, Emily and Christine to decide future plans for junior coaching ACTION GG EB CG Senior Coaching: Holme Fell was good. 10 attended Club Nights: Newton Rigg evening was good Armathwaite good venue. Possibility of using part of Coombes Wood for Club Night was discussed as near Armathwaite 5. BOF Rules/Guidelines re missing persons at events. Christine to make paper copy and link to appropriate BOF site from BL website ACTION CG 6. Purchase of power pack: It was decided not to purchase now but consider when one of the existing leisure batteries needs replacing 7. Easter O: Crosby Ravensworth. Map file now on web-site 8. Club Membership: BL has 84 seniors and 22 juniors. It was felt worthwhile to telephone members personally to ask for help at events in addition to the usual bulk e-mail request 9. On-going from AGM: Updating development plan O tops for juniors Jeff-website. Nil to report ACTION RE ACTION CG 10. Up coming Events: Bigland JK day 3 BL helping. DEE lead club Hallin Fell: Nil to report Eycott Hill: Some significant changes with new fences, gates and new tree planting etc Penrith Urban, progressing satisfactorily. 11. Fixtures personnel: all posts filled 12. Fixtures: list previously circulated It was suggested that High Pike could be used for Level B event in 2017 Stella to ask WCOC about possibility of BL using one of their areas such as High Rigg Stella will look at possibility of using Knipe Scar 13.
