Grant / Fellowship Information - Brandel
BRANDEL - MURPHY
YOUTH FOUNDATION
BRANDEL - MURPHY
YOUTH
FOUNDATION
Dear Lions, Lioness and Leos,
As an International Officer, with
Maureen by my side, we were
blessed with the privilege of
serving the Lions of the world.
Though our term of office is
over, the opportunity to serve is
not.
Grant / Fellowship
Information
We are honored to continue our
service at home, in MD20 New
York State and Bermuda, by
providing assistance to those
children who are in need.
Maureen and I are very proud of
the efforts and of the results of
the Brandel-Murphy Youth
Foundation after our first year.
The Foundation committee, and
the generosity of many Lions
and friends, have more than
doubled the amount of money to
be awarded. We look forward to
helping you assist the children in
your communities for many
years to come.
Together, we can and will
make miracles through service.

The
Brandel - Murphy
Youth Foundation
A not-for-profit organization whose
mission is to support projects that
will improve the lives of children in
MD-20, New York State and Bermuda.
The Youth Foundation is committed to
providing assistance to Lions who
share these mission goals.
Humanitarian
Assistance
Grants
Each year, the Youth Foundation allots
funds for the Grant Program. These
funds are awarded based on merit and
urgency until all the allotted funds
have been distributed for that Lions
Year.
The Brandel - Murphy Youth Foundation
Grant Program is unique in that any
Lions Club or Lions District in MD-20 can
participate whether the project benefits
many children or changes the life of a
single child.
The Lions know which children in their
communities need their assistance.
Once your club or district decides to
help, you can then double your funding
for that project, up to $2,000, with a
Brandel-Murphy Youth Foundation
matching grant.
These grants are distributed in the
spring of the Lions Year. The deadline to
apply for a grant is March 31 of that
year. Only one grant per Lions year can
be given to each club; however, there is
no limit within each district.
The Youth Foundation also conducts
fundraising projects, and accepts
donations, in order to sustain this
important program..

The “Brandel Murphy Fellowship”
The Foundation is proud to unveil
the “Brandel - Murphy Fellowship,
Miracles Through Service Recognition
Program.”
This new Lions Fellowship provides
an opportunity to honor those who
have dedicated their lives to service,
and at the same time, support the
efforts of the Youth Foundation.
To join the fellowship, one has to
make a $500 contribution to the
Foundation.
The recipient will receive a unique,
one of a kind medal, a lapel pin, and
a letter signed by both PIP Al Brandel
and his partner in service, Lion Dr.
