Once again Bridges Consulting is happy to offer an ABA
based Social Skills Summer Program .
This program is geared to provide a special place where
your child can enjoy a fun summer experience while
improving his or her social skills through carefully
developed programming .
This program creates a structured social environment to
improve your child’s social awareness and his or her
interaction with peers.
Most importantly this program can help to empower
children to initiate and maintain positive relationships
with others.
Why Choose the Bridges
Social Sills Program


Bridges Summer Social Skills Program provides more frequent and
more intensive social skills training compared to traditional summer
programs.
 The Bridges Program, offers children the opportunity participate
with typical peers, in order to facilitate generalization of the skills
the children are working towards.
 Due to the camp's low participant to staff ratio, we also have the
flexibility to adjust our social skills curriculum to meet the ongoing
and changing needs of the children in the program.
 Goals and objectives are individualized, social skills are taught in
the environment and context where they are used.
 It is an excellent opportunity for learning, fun, and friendshipmaking
Special Activities
The daily schedule includes a series activities built around a weekly
theme that also promote skills in such target areas such as conversation, non verbal communication, perspective taking. Through organized games and recreational activities, arts and crafts activities, role
playing, lunch, snack, supervised play activities we are able to promote
increased social skill practice. Children will earn tokens as reinforcment for successful interactions and making good choices and will be
able to exchange tokens for prizes at the reward store.
This year, for our older youth we will adding an increased focus on life
skills such as cooking, organizing, planning, through such activites as
community volunteering, gardening and grocery shopping.
