Principal’s Message
Walk for Sammie
Last Saturday, over 400 people came out to our Walk
for Sammie Event. The turnout was overwhelming
and appreciated. We raised, after expenses (shirts &
silly string), $10,817.70!
Samantha Garcia, daughter of David Garcia, Plant
Supervisor of Bud Rank, is diagnosed with Cerebral
Dysgenesis, Neuropathy, Ichthyosis, and Palmoplantar
Keratoderma Syndrome (CEDNIK Syndrome). From the
words of her parents, “Any donation, even a small
one, would be greatly appreciated and would help us
reach the goal of being able to keep Sammie moving
forward on the Road of Life.”
We would like to thank all of the 28 sponsors and the
458 students, parents, and families that donated and
participated in the walk for David Garcia and family.
Thank you to the volunteers who set-up the obstacle
course, supervised, and cleaned up the silly string
fun! It could not have been as successful without your
assistance.
Special thanks to The Shave snow-cone cart for
donating all of the snow cones to the participants, to
the Naito family for the raisins snack, to the Fresno
Masonic Lodge for the Gatorade refreshments, and to
the Bud Rank staff for donating the raffle gift cards
and creating the event banners and signs.
This event had been in the works for over a year, and
we are so grateful for the enthusiasm that was
shared.

Principal
