regionally based business that
operates Robinson R44 and R22
helicopters in Cape York, based
out of Aurukun, Weipa and
Bramwell Station.
With our base in Cape York, we operate
throughout the Northern Peninsula and lower
Cape York regions.
Central Cape Helicopters has the capacity to
provide you with a unique service that benefits
the regional economy of Cape York
Our Pilots
We only use experienced helicopter
pilots on all operations. Our Managing
Director has over 10,000 flying hours,
and all pilots have significant remote
experience
Our fleet
3 x R44 Clipper II with a top speed of
240 km/h and a range of 560 km
11 x R22 Beta II with a top speed of
180 km/hr and a range of 322 km
Central Cape Helicopters can undertake any
air works that you require, from aerial pest
management and mustering to survey work and
general property inspections.
By having our helicopters based centrally
in Cape York, this reduces transfer times for
machines to and from site.

Making your booking
You will be encouraged to discuss all aspects of
your requirements with our experienced Chief
Pilot.
Your helicopter pilot will conduct a job safety
analysis of your proposed operation to identify
potential hazards and apply appropriate risk
management procedures.

Investing in our future
Central Cape Helicopters with assistance
from the WCCCA Southern Sub-Regional
Trust, Rio Tinto Alcan are providing a bursary
for a young Indigenous man to commence
his pilot license in 2015. He will fit this in with
his studies at University of Qld in Brisbane, and
will work through his training schedule at the
new GBR training school in Mareeba.
Safety is paramount
The Central Cape Helicopters Operations
Manual will assist in identifying hazards and
defining operating parameters. Safety is
our priority on all air-works, whether survey,
photography, sling work, incendiary,
mustering or shooting.
