Now is a good time to reflect and refocus on any school goals your child has set. Our goal is for our children to finish the school year strong and confident and look forward to the next grade. Thank you for supporting and encouraging your children during these weeks of testing by getting them to school on time and ready to show what they know. Our 1st and 2nd graders are finished with the SAT. Our 3rd and 4th graders are finished with the FSA and 5th grade will begin their FSA testing the week of April 13th. 7700 Gunn Highway Tampa, FL 33625 Principal Paulette English Assistant Principal Marisa Brody at Gondolier’s – 4/8 (5pm-8pm) No School for Students – 4/3 Spring Carnival – 4/17 Relay for Life – 5/8 Kingergarten “Round-Up” – 5/12 (5:00 pm in Media Center) CPE Talent Show – 5/12 We're "Rounding -Up" our future Citrus Park Eagles! There will be something for everyone ------ games, food trucks and even a silent auction including class theme baskets and special activities with teachers. We hope to see you there! Our dress up days promoting our “American Cancer Society” giving campaign have been a big hit. March 17th was a sea of green here at CPE and we enjoyed seeing so many students dressed like “teachers” last Friday. We are looking forward to seeing students dressed in their favorite sports apparel on Monday, April 6th. A team of teachers will be participating in the Citrus Park/Town and Country Relay for Life event at Sickles High School on May 8th-9th (6 p.m.-6 a.m.). Make plans to come out and walk a lap or two with us or just cheer us on! Thank you for your support in all our endeavors and helping to make our school a wonderful place for our students and teachers. Citrus Park Families ROCK!!!! This is a great opportunity for our students to learn about the benefits of giving and working towards a goal. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay for Life movement. Citrus Park Elementary is participating with the Town and Country/Citrus Park Relay for Life event being held on May 8 at Sickles High School. In order to meet our goal, Citrus Park is hosting Dollar Days for our students. On specific Dollar Days, students can donate to participate in the theme for the day. Reminders will be sent out throughout the next few weeks. If you wish to donate online, you can do so at: http://www.relayforlife.org/. You will search for our team, “Citrus Park Elementary,” and it will take you to the page to donate. If you wish to write a check, please make it out to The American Cancer Society. Thank you for being such supportive parents! Please contact me with any questions.
