NWEA/MAP Testing:
This week March 30, 2015 – April 2, 2015, all students will continue taking the NWEA/MAP Test. This is the Spring 2015
Assessment.
CMA’s Annual Ice Cream Social/Relaxed Dress:
CMA’s Annual Ice Cream Social is Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gym, hosted by D.J. Good Boi. The cost, $4.00
includes relaxed dress.
Spring Break:
Students will be dismissed at 2:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Spring Break is April 3, 2015 through April 10, 2015.
School Reopens Monday, April 13, 2015.
Senior Dues:
The last installment for Senior Dues is April 2, 2015. Students/Parents may pay Senior Dues on Tuesdays only.
Volleyball Hopefuls:
There will be an important meeting for any young ladies interested in participating on the CMA Volleyball Team. The
meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in the CMA Library. This meeting will be conducted by the new Volleyball
Coach, Coach Dixon. Coach Dixon ask that you be prompt, the meeting will start on time. Girls who are on the Track and
Softball teams, your coaches have been notified of the meeting and will allow you to attend.
ATTN: SENIORS:
Please be aware that all Prom Attire must be pre-approved. The Prom Attire form and Guest form will be available Monday,
March 30, 2015. All forms must be approved by May 15, 2015.
Afterschool Tutorial Begins:
On Monday, March 9, 2015 Afterschool Tutorial began. Students may receive academic assistance from Mrs. Bayles, Mr.
James, Mrs. Martin, Mr. Stokes, and Mrs. Tuinukuafe. Students must have referral from their Math, Science, ELA, or Social
Studies’ teacher.
CMA Applications:
CMA is accepting applications for the Fall 2015-2016 school year. Applications can be picked up from the Main Office or
printed from CMA’s Website (cmahigh.com). Deadline to submit applications is May 1, 2015.
Absence Excuse Procedures:
When submitting absence excuses, students must have the following information:
Students and parents first and last name, phone number where parent can be reached to verify absence, number of days and
dates of absences. The Counseling center has 24 hours to process absences. Students must submit absence excuses to teachers
by the following day. If any of these procedures are not followed, the student will not qualify for their make-up work.
Parent Teacher Conference:
Wednesday, April 1, 2015, CMA will host Parent Teacher Conference (tentative time 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.)
Dismissal Precautions and Safety Tips:
Students must remain in front of the St. Marys exit door while waiting on their ride. This is the only way we can keep an eye
on the students. Please instruct your child not to go to the party store on St. Marys and Fenkell and Grand River and St.
Marys.
Locker Safety:
All students are required to have a combination lock on their lockers. The school is not responsible for items left in an
unsecured locker.
