Course Description: This course will teach students the art and science of effective project
management – how to get things done in organizations. Student will learn and apply behavioral
and managerial approaches to plan and execute effective projects.
Required Textbook and Materials: Project Management: the managerial process, 5th edition,
Larson and Gray, with Microsoft Project 2007 CD. Regency Plaza Case Study, Harvard Business

Grading: The course grade will be based on two exams, homework and case study
assignments. The weighting of the grades will be as follows:

Grading Scale: The following standard will be applied for final course grading. Curving/minor
adjustments to the grading scale may be applied at the end of the quarter.

Missing an Exam: You must notify me if you cannot meet a scheduled exam time. An email will
suffice. Arrangements will be made on a case by case basis, approved by me.
