INVITATION
The Agricultural University - Plovdiv (www.au-plovdiv.bg) extend a cordial invitation to all scientists in
the field of agriculture to participate in the Jubilee Scientific Conference with international participation
“70 Anniversary of the Agricultural University - traditions and challenges facing agricultural education,
science and business”, which will be held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) from 29th to 31st of October 2015. This
event is dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the University establishment. We are truly glad to host
such a prestigious event in the beautiful city of Plovdiv. Plovdiv's history spans 6,000 years, with traces
of a Neolithic settlement dating to roughly 4000 BC ranking it among the world's oldest cities.

GENERAL SCOPE
The main goal of the Conference is to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and
research scholars to exchange and share their experience and research results in all the aspects of
Agricultural Science. Aiming at providing opportunities to create a forum for the research community
to introduce and discuss their research and cooperation between researchers and industries.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The programme of the Conference will consist of invited lectures (30 min, discussion included), oral
presentations (15 min, discussion included) and poster sessions. All the presentations should be
related to recent and innovative studies. Posters will be mounted within one conference day for a 2hour poster session. Portrait-oriented poster boards of 200(h) x 80(w)-cm size will be available.

CONTRIBUTIONS
Selection of the presentations will be based on one-page abstracts. New methods, processes and
applications will be encouraged. Contributions should comply with the scope of the Conference.
Submissions should be made online using the registration form available on the Conference website:
http://conference.au-plovdiv.bg. The reviewing process will be carried out online. After evaluation, the
programme will be made available on the website. Electronic copies of the contributions will be
disseminated at the Conference site. By request of the authors, full-text papers of Conference

Instructions for preparation of abstracts and manuscripts
Prospective Authors are kindly invited to submit their abstract and formatted full text papers (including
results, tables, figures and references) on-line through the Conference web-site.
Abstracts:
One-page abstracts of A4 format with single spacing will be accepted. Contributors should use a Times
New Roman font and margins of 2.5 cm from left, right, and bottom and 4 cm from top. Title should
be a 14-pt bold font. Author(s) names should be typed by a 12-pt regular font. The name of the
presenting author should be marked by an asterisk (*). Affiliation(s) should be 10 pt italics. One empty
line (14 pt) should be left after title, one line (12 pt) after author(s) names, and one line (10 pt) after
affiliation(s). A fax number and an e-mail address of the presenting author should be added on a
separate line (10 pt, italics). Authors should also use a 12-pt regular font for body text. Tables,
figures, and references may be used for the manuscripts. For this purpose, a 10-pt regular font should
be used. Files should be saved as docx or doc format. The deadline for the abstract submission is 15
July 2015.
Full-text papers:
The full text of the presentations will be published in the special issue of Agricultural Sciences Journal
and Scientific Works of the Agricultural University after peer-review process. Follow the author’s
instructions carefully during preparation of your manuscripts. Please submit manuscript using online
submission Conference website (http://conference.au-plovdiv.bg). The deadline for the full paper
submission is 30 September 2015.
All papers in English will be published in Agricultural Sciences Journal (http://agrarninauki.auplovdiv.bg). Agricultural Sciences (ISSN 1313-6577 – Print version) is an open access journal (ISSN
2367-5772 - Online version), referred by CAB Abstract, EBSCO Publishing, AGRIS and partially in other
30 databases of CAB International.
All papers in Bulgarian will be published in the Scientific Works Journal of the Agricultural University
(http://nauchnitrudove.au-plovdiv.bg). The Scientific Works (ISSN 1312-6318 – Print version) is an
open access journal (ISSN 2367-5845 - Online version), fully referred in CAB Abstracts, EBSKO
Publishing and partially - in other 30 databases of CAB International.
For better formatted papers please use those Ms Word templates: Agricultural Sciences template;
Scientific Works template. All conference papers should be formatted according to Template Paper and
downloadеd оn Word format.

COMPANY PARTICIPATION
Company or organization representatives, wishing to attend the Jubilee scientific conference will need
to register until 01.10.2015. The conference fee of 300 BGN .(VAT free) includes participation with a
paper or a poster, an exhibition stand, possibility of placing advertising materials in the working
program and both journals.
