ANZAC DAY STREET CLOSURES MULWALA
On Saturday, 25 April, Melbourne Street (between Hicks
Butchers and the Cenotaph entrance at Old Mill Road),
will be closed to all vehicular traffic between the hours
of 9:30am and 9:45am to permit safe conduct of the
annual Yarrawonga-Mulwala Sub Branch Anzac Day
Ceremony.
Road closure points will be established at the following
locations;
Melbourne Street- 50 metres north of Dunmore
Street
Dunmore Street - Intersection of Melbourne Street
Bayly Street - Intersection of Melbourne Street
Melbourne Street - 50 metres south of Old Mill
Road
The temporary closures will be displayed by way of
barricades and signs or by traffic controllers with no
alternate route during the parade.

NEW THREE BIN SYSTEM
Businesses and operators have received formal Council
notification regarding the new three bin system and how the
changes affect non-residential premises.

DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS
BANK AND/OR BEDWORK - RETAINING WALL
& JETTY
Corowa Shire Council, the consent authority under Clause 1.6 of the Corowa Local
Environmental Plan 2012 and Clause 13(2) of the Murray Regional Environmental
Plan No. 2 – Riverine Land, has received an application (DA 2015/061) seeking
development consent to construct a Retaining Wall and Jetty. The proposed
development, the subject of the application, relates to Lot 2; DP 214779; 102A
Melbourne Street, Mulwala.
MAJOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
UPDATE – MELBOURNE STREET
MEDIAN CONSTRUCTION
Preliminary works on the construction of a median in Melbourne
Street, extending from Bayly Street to Inglis Street, have
commenced.
Works to install permanent over dimension route signs and
temporary road works signage will take place during the week.
The duration of the project is expected to be approximately 10
weeks and detours will be in place and adequately signed.
No vehicle movement or street parking will be available on
the same side as the works during the hour hours of 7:00am –
4:00pm.
All residents and businesses directly affected by the works have
been formally notified and updates will be provided as the project
progresses.

Any interested person may inspect this application and accompanying documents
at Corowa Shire Council, 100 Edward Street, Corowa and at the Mulwala
Civic Centre, 71 Melbourne Street, Mulwala from Wednesday, 22 April 2015 to
Wednesday, 20 May 2015 during business hours.

BUSINESS
Submissions should be made in writing and addressed to the General Manager,
Corowa Shire Council, PO Box 77, Corowa NSW 2646. Submissions will be
received up to 5.00pm on Wednesday, 22 April 2015. Where a submission is by
way of objection, the grounds of the objection are required to be specified in the
submission.
Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and residents are
encouraged to continue to shop locally throughout the duration of
the works.
During the major construction works, Melbourne Street will remain
open for business, with normal trading hours maintained.
