ALL APPLICANTS MUST
BRING ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS OF THE FOLLOWING:
All applicants for a security clearance must submit the following:
o Application for a Transportation Security Clearance (TC 25-0356 (0712-14))
o Edmonton Airport Authority Application for a RAIC or RAP
o CANADIAN CITIZENS BORN IN CANADA
Original birth certificate and;
Passport if applicant holds one. If applicant does not have a passport an original, valid,
Canadian government issued photo ID (ie: driver’s license) will be accepted.
o CHILDREN BORN OUTSIDE CANADA TO A CANADIAN PARENT:
Certificate of registration of birth abroad and;
Passport if applicant holds one. If applicant does not have a passport an original, valid,
Canadian government issued photo ID (ie: driver’s license) will be accepted.
O NATURALIZED CANADIANS AND LANDED IMMIGRANTS:
A Canadian Citizenship Card, or a valid Permanent Resident Card or applicable IMM
Document and;
Passport if applicant holds one. If applicant does not have a passport an original, valid,
Canadian government issued photo ID (ie: driver’s license) will be accepted.
o REFUGEES:
Documentation from Citizenship and Immigration (CIC):
Letter confirming the applicant’s claim has been accepted by the Refugee Protection
Division AND a valid work permit (IMM1442);
Passport if applicant holds one. If applicant does not have a passport an original, valid,
Canadian government issued photo ID (ie: driver’s license) will be accepted.
o OTHER APPLICANTS BORN OUTSIDE CANADA
A document that indicates his/her legal entitlement to work in Canada ie: valid work

driver’s license)
An applicant may be required to provide additional information.
The names on the application must be exactly the same as on the identity documents.
The forms must be signed by a Requesting Officer of the organization employing the applicant
before they are submitted to Pass Office.
Work permits or visas that are limited to a particular employer other than the employer
sponsoring the application or a location other than Edmonton International Airport will not be
accepted.
IF THE APPLICANT IS A MINOR
The age of majority in Alberta is 18 years.
If the applicant is less than 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign both application
forms as well as the receipt for the pass at Pass Office.
In order to ensure the authenticity of the person claiming to be a parent or guardian,
the form must be signed in the presence of a Pass Control Officer. The parent or guardian
signing the form must provide photo ID. A copy of the ID will accompany the application.
TO COMPLETE PAPERWORK:
ALL FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED USING BLACK INK AND BLOCK LETTER!
INCOMPLETE FORMS OR FORMS COMPLETED IN BLUE INK AND SMALL
LETTER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

NO ABBREVIATIONS (ie: ALBERTA not AB)
Weight must be recorded in KILOGRAMS and height must be recorded in
CENTIMETERS (this information can be taken from your driver’s license)
TO COMPLETE TRANSPORT CANADA PAPERWORK:

All “YES” or “NO” QUESTIONS MUST BE INITIALED
The birth certificate number is normally the “registration number” however, bring in
spouse’s birth certificate as well if in doubt
o When completing addresses:
o Street No. is the first part of your address and street name is the second part (ie:
1234-56 Ave - street no. is 1234 and 56 Ave is the street name; 123 Apple Street
–street no. is 123 and Apple Street is the street name)
o When completing history:
o Ensure that every MONTH is accounted for
o If you were unemployed, write “UNEMPLOYED” and put your home address
o PART E – FIRST SENTENCE MUST ALSO BE INITIALED
o PART E- PAGE 4 – ONLY SIGN IF YOU HAVE CHECKED AND INITIALED “YES” ( a
signature is not required if you have checked and initialed “NO”)
