CAMPUS CUSTOMERS • • • Mechanical Science and Engineering -‐ We are using computer modeling and simulation to design better materials for emerging technologies such as solar photovoltaics that convert sunlight to electricity. The campus cluster helps us to carry out the numerically intensive quantum mechanical models to understand how to improve these materials. Geography and GIS -‐ Global Environmental Analysis and Remote Sensing (GEARS) laboratory is processing large spatial and temporal scale image processing projects for nations, U.S. states, and U.S. cities. Department of Physics -‐ Simulate and analyze data generated by the ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland.
