I write now to point you to the online submission system for the proposals. Go to the Provost’s website: http://www.provost.illinois.edu/clusterhiring.html. See the Call for Proposals to know what information is needed for the proposal. Click on the “Submission Portal” button on the right hand side. Login using your netid and shibboleth password. Know that in this system, the faculty leader is labeled “PI.” Submit proposals by April 15, 2015. The following faculty and campus academic leaders have kindly agreed to serve as the review committee for the Cluster Hiring Program. The committee will be chaired by Professor Gene Robinson, Director of the Institute for Genomic Biology. We are pleased to invite proposals for the second round of the cluster hiring initiative. In this second round, we are focusing on 8 sub‐themes selected from within the six VFE themes (http://oc.illinois.edu/visioning/themes.html). The 8 themes selected for this round are: 1. Big Data 2. Food Security and Safety 3. Healthy Aging 4. Migration, Diaspora and Governance 5. Neuroscience and Cognition 6. Human Behavior and Decision Making 7. Smart Infrastructure 8.
