SECONDARY RAW MATERIALS MANAGEMENT This service is especially relevant in regard to environment control, ecology and economy, it is associated with future of waste management activity. Secondary Raw Materials Management Secondary raw materials include waste fit for recycling: tare, glass, plastic, metal, paper and cardboard. A service of secondary raw materials management is special not only in ecological and economical aspect, but also due to the fact that this service is possible only with an active contribution of the society. Therefore the joint-stock company “Ecoservice” is active in holding social actions and supporting initiatives in which the society is informed about waste sorting methods and significance of sorting. The society learns how to produce new goods from the secondary raw materials, to save natural resources and energy, reduce volumes of waste getting into dumps; society is also informed about the impact on environment, deforestation, water and air pollution, costs of domestic waste management. We give our clients information on how to sort waste, where and which kind of waste should be thrown. The joint-stock company “Ecoservice” offers to sort secondary raw materials in the places where they are formed, so that as minimum as possible amounts of waste would get to dumps. Collection of secondary raw materials from individual house areas For individual house residents who are willing to sort domestic waste the joint-stock company “Ecoservice” offers coloured sorting bags for free. The waste sorted into these bags is regularly collected according to the schedule settled in advance. 25 kg Collection of secondary raw materials from apartment houses In apartment building areas and garage communities the company equips the secondary raw material sorting sites. In these sites three containers for secondary raw materials are placed: blue containers are used for paper, yellow – for plastic, and green containers – for glass. All the used containers correspond with LST EN standard requirements. One set of secondary raw material collection containers is placed for about 600 residents. The amount of secondary raw materials the average household accumulates per month. Collection of secondary raw materials from private enterprises and institutions We provide enterprises and institutions with all equipment needed to collect waste: coloured plastic bags and aesthetically looking boxes made of corrugated plastic. Furthermore, outside the enterprises and institutions we can place special containers used to collect secondary raw materials. Containers are removed for free, according to the schedule settled in advance. Collection of secondary raw materials from manufacturers Different production enterprises, commercial centres during their activity accumulate huge amounts of paper, film, other secondary raw materials and different packing waste. Therefore the joint-stock company “Ecoservice” offers such enterprises specific equipment – pressing containers, big-sized mesh containers (up to 5 cbm) or metal containers (up to 30 cbm). Such kind of service enables enterprises to easily and safely accumulate waste. WHY SORTING IS ESSENTIAL? Waste sorting is not a choice, but a duty, as it helps: • to save natural resources, water and electric power; • to save place in dumps – they are not expanding so rapidly, there is no need to look for more and more areas and funds to equip them; • to reduce waste management costs, as waste collection, removal and management is for free; • to let things be reborn for a new life instead of rotting for several hundred yeas in the nearest landfill; • to show that one is extremely concerned about in what kind of the world the future generation will live. All the metal parts are galvanized and protected from corrosion. Out of use, a container may be totally recycled. PREPARATION OF SECONDARY RAW MATERIALS FOR RECYCLING The secondary raw materials collected by the joint-stock company “Ecoservice” are once more sorted out in sorting bases: paper is sorted into 7 sorts, glass – into 2, and plastic waste – even into 18 sorts! Wood and metal waste is also separated from the whole waste flow. The raw materials following the sorting process are pressed and given over to recycling companies, and here they again are reborn for a new life.
